Hatchlings Kroclets Krocodiles Still Krocin’Children, ages 6 months to 3 years, will become familiarized with water activities and prepared for progression into the Kroclets program. Children are required to have an adult guardian at all times. These classes are not designed to teach a child to survive in the water on their own. AQHA0114

Kroclets is designed with multiple levels to train children, ages 3 through 5 years, to swim without the accompaniment of an adult. Each level orients children to the aquatic environment, teaches them basic skills and prepares them for the next program. AQKL0314

Students, ages 6 to 15 years, are taught various safety skills and are assessed as they move through each level. Some students may remain at one level for multiple sessions while they master the skills. Kroc instructors will make swimming lessons fun as they help students develop swimming skills and self-confidence! AQKC0314

It’s never too late to learn to swim or improve your skills! Lessons for ages 16+ are adapted to your starting level to help you become the swimmer you want to be. AQSK0314

AndyMember Since

August 2013

MarthaMember Since August 2012

When Andy joined the Kroc Center last year, he jumped right into boot camp. Now he’s 30 pounds lighter and a whole lot happier!

“In August, I joined The Kroc Center’s 6-week bootcamp program,” said Andy, “and quickly lost 10 pounds.”

After his positive experience in bootcamp, Andy’s confidence grew and he decided to continue his journey with the new program, Mission Slim-Possible, where he successfully lost 20 more pounds.

“The trainers are always smiling and they greet you

by your name!”Andy credits Kroc Center trainers for helping him during his weight loss journey, noting how their advice for cardio and handling weights correctly really helped him out.

In addition to working with Kroc Center personal trainers, he appreciates the instruction on nutrition they provide to help form healthy habits.

When asked what sets the Kroc Center apart from other gyms, Andy replied “Definitely the staff. The trainers are always smiling and they greet you by your name!”

Mission Slim-Possible winner, Martha, joined the Kroc Center with her family after years away from any fitness center.

Martha had been losing weight and riding her bike for awhile, but her weight loss had plateaued and her aches, pains and lack of endurance became increasingly frustrating.

“Now I feel better and have fewer aches and pains, and

more energy!”Mission Slim-Possible helped Martha recommit to losing weight and getting fit, provided accountability, and encouraged her to participate in group fitness classes that, according to her, she would never have tried before.

“I attribute winning to strict calorie-counting, lots of exercise (I love the Les Mills™ RPM™ class) and a supportive family. I feel much better now that I have fewer aches and pains and more energy.”

Martha’s tips for success: “Set S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely) goals. If you falter, get right back on track. And keep moving!”

Welcome to The Salvation Army Augusta ChurchThe worldwide Salvation Army Church is an Evangelical Christian movement with a message based on biblical teachings. All of our ministries are motivated by a desire to share the grace and love of God. Our purpose is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meet the needs of others without discrimination. We hope you will find an interest in one of our programs and join us. Then, together, we will journey as followers of Jesus Christ.

Sunday SchoolOur Sunday School classes are biblically educational and feature relevant Christian teachings for all ages, youth to adult! Our teachers are trained and given a curriculum that facilitates a biblically consistent, structured teaching, and promotes positive social values.

Golden AgersMembership in the Golden Agers program is open to men and women ages 55 and up. The program goal is to affirm, encourage, educate, and respect our senior adults. This is done through food, fun, worship and educational programs that show… “Just because you have another candle on your birthday cake doesn’t mean you have to slow down. It simply means you already know how to party!”

Men’s ClubThis Club is a fellowship of Christian men, ages 16+, who gather together to enjoy food, faith, fellowship and encouragement from like-minded men.

Home LeagueThe Home League is a women’s ministry program for all ladies ages 16+. It is a biblically-based program focusing on worshiping, education, fellowship, and serving together.

Junior ChurchChildren, ages 6-12, are invited to participate in Junior Church during our regular morning worship time. An age-appropriate Christian message will be shared with them in a fun and caring environment. Crafts, Bible lessons and games are presented in a supervised space by a caring member of our church staff.

MoonbeamsBoys and Girls, ages 4-5, will learn about God in a positive and affirming environment. Our teachers place a major emphasis on active play and biblically-sound learning

Veggies are usually steamed or boiled, so roasting is often forgotten. Roasting caramelizes the natural

sugars in vegetables and enhances flavor. Root vegetables, often

thought of as a boring winter vegetable, are transformed by a simple roasting. Adding a liquid such as stock, wine or fruit juice enhances the flavor even more! For details, visit the
