Many of the League’s supporting members are also talented artisans and the Members’ Juried Exhibi- tion, which starts on October 4 and runs until December 11 at e Gal- lery at e Craft Center and head- quarters on 49 South Main Street in Concord, gives them, as well as juried members, an opportunity to showcase their work to the public. is is the 26th time that the exhi- bition has been held. Both juried and supporting mem- bers of the League were invited to enter this exhibition (a list of the 43participants appears at the end of this release) and a panel reviewed all submissions and selected some for competitive, juried awards. e awards juror is Gretchen Key- worth, who will review all piec- es in the exhib- it for excellence in each medium. Keyworth is the Director Emerita/ Former Chief Cu- rator at the Full- er Craft Museum in Brockton, MA and a notable fig- ure in the craft world. e awards will be announced at 6 pm during the Opening Reception on Friday, October 4. e 26th Members’ Juried Ex- hibition features a wide variety of work in several media: furniture, including among other pieces, a rocking chair, a carved ladies dress- ing table, and a carved arm chair; colorful spun yarn; hooked rugs; wall hangings; a pewter centerpiece bowl; a carving knife and fork in a marquetry box; a life-sized, needle- felted monkey; a beaded purse in the Abenaki tradition; jewelry, in- cluding a silver bracelet inlaid with turquoise, carnelian, and picture hickoryite; a hand-smocked child’s dress; prints; and a wide variety of decorative and functional clay piec- es. e opening reception, where the public can meet and speak with the participating exhibitors, is sched- uled for Friday, October 4 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. CONCORD, NH – The League of NH Craftsmen represents excel-lence in fine craft through the work of its juried members, and its rigor-ous standards for self-expression, vision, and quality craftsmanship.Many of the League’s supporting members are also talented artisans and the Members’ Juried Exhibi-tion, which starts on October 4 and runs until December 11 at The Gal-lery at The Craft Center and head-quarters on 49 South Main Street in Concord, gives them, as well as juried members, an opportunity to showcase their work to the public.
