I was working as a lecturer in School of Petroleum Technology, Pandit Deendayal
Petroleum University, Gandhingar, Gujarat, India before working as an Assistant Professor
and Head in the department of Petroleum Engineering, Uttaranchal University. I have
completed M.Tech. in Petroleum Exploration from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in 2009
and M.Sc. in Applied Geology from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand in
2006. Apart from my services at Uttaranchal University, I am also planning for PhD (part-
time).
I started my career with Vedanta Resources Plc. as a Junior Geologist in 2006 and I was
involved in field mapping, virgin area exploration, reserve and resource modeling etc. I
have extensively worked on various domain software packages like Autocad, Surfer,
Sedlog, Interactive Petrophysics, Petrel, Matlab, Crystal Ball, LabView etc. I have also
received government scholarship of MHRD in M.Tech. studies.
I joined School of Petroleum Technology, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University,
Gandhingar, Gujarat, in July 2009 as a lecturer. I am taking various courses and project
works of B.Tech. students of Petroleum Engineering. Also, I was the faculty coordinator of
International Exposure Program – 2013 at University of Houston. I have also visited
University of Tulsa and University of Oklahoma for establishing collaborative platforms
for student exchange and research and development. Besides, I hold additional position of
Research Scientist – Centre of Excellence of Geothermal Energy from Oct’13.
I was actively involved to setup Centre of Excellence of Shale Resources at Pandit
Deendayal Petroleum University. I had also submitted project entitle Center of Excellence
for Shale Resources to Industries Commissionerate, Government of Gujarat, India and
Indo-US Science & Technology Forum in the co-supervision. Also, I acted as faculty
advisor of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University Student Chapter of American
Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).
