covers and pages are clamped together from the outside by our Metalbind channel.

Safeno punching, no gluing, not even

touching when binding. The pages are separated by the covers from the Metalbind channel, you can

deformed, it always looks perfect. A special extrusion centres the documents,

ATLAS 300 MONO & IMAGEPRESSHow to HoT PRINT STAMP on covers:

Install IMAGEPRESS attachmenton the de-binding hooks.

Switch on power. Compose text in O.FRAME, usingthe tweezers, position and tighten typeface lock screws at each end of frame with an Allen Key supplied.

Set required temperature and waittill red LED light comes on.

Place text and frame on IMAGE PRESS element. When the righttemperature is reached, a red LED comes on, showing ready to print.

Cut a piece of printing foil or usepre-cut.

Put cover in position required intothe binding/printing slot. Place the foil between the print head frameand cover, bright colour sidetowards operator, hold in placewith a small round magnetic clamp.

Move the print head up to the cover, lock with clamp lever, push down onbinding/print lever apply requiredpressure to hot print stamp cover,release handle and clamp lever,remove printed cover.

The result is fantastic!How to hot print stamp on Metalbind channels:

Choose print guide template to suit Metalbind channel, place Metalbind channel on template, front edge facing adjusting screws.

Place foil over print head, bright colour side facing the operator, hold foil in place with a small round magnetic clamp.

Sit the bracket with channel on the back plate. Adjust with levelling screws.

Move print head up to the channelwith clamp lever, push down on binding/print handle, apply requiredpressure to print on the Metalbindchannel. Release handle and clamp, remove printed Metalbind channel.

Put CDcover into print template. Place frame with text on IMAGE-PRESS element. When red LEDcomes on the correct temperatureis reached, ready to print.

Place the foil between print headand CDcover, bright colour side of foil towards operator, hold foil inplace with a small round magneticblack clamp.

Move print head and frame withclamp lever, push down on binding/print handle, apply required pressureto hot print stamp CD-cover.Release handle and clamp lever, remove printed CD-cover.

PREPARATION TO WORK

BINDING

Measure documents without covers to be bound with the scale to get the correct Metalbind channel.

Insert Metalbind channel into binding slot. Ensure straight side of channel faces operator.

Lock in place the Metalbind channelwith the clamp lever.

Ensure Metalbind channel iscentred, using centre guideindicator in the slot.

O•CDcover BASE IP Accessory Kit required.

Ensure both levers are in the open position.

Insert binding COVERguide system back and front


Put the pages between covers squarely.

Place covers and documents in Metalbind channel back towards operator and centred.

Release levers, remove bound document.

Pull down binding lever carefully.

Ensure lever and handle are in theopen position. Place the bound document face down on the machine.

Open 5 or 6 pages from back cover.

Then put the left end of wedge toolcarefully into left hook.

Fit de-binding wedge tool into right side hook.

DE-BINDING METHOD

Move clamp lever and holdin position.

Push down then up on the bindinghandle carefully 5 or 6 times gentlyto open Metalbind channel just enough to remove documents.

Your document is now unbound!Release clamp lever and handle,remove the de-binding wedgecarefully from your document!

How to prepare a customized cover using the METALBIND system:

FANTASTIC RESULT EVERY TIME!

Print your cover design on A4 or A3.

Choose the size of O•cuttingBLADE landscape or portrait to fit the design.

Slide design into O•POUCH Sticky POBC. Select temperature and speed wait for the ready signal, put the pouch with print in the laminator.

Peal of the yellow side from the design which has the glue on as in the picture.

Make sure that the Grey board and design is fitted properly and there is no air bubbles and looks good.

Using o.caseMAKING KIT, stick the Grey board to the design.

Make sure that the Grey board is stuck prop-erly to the cover design.

Place design and O•cuttingBLADEon O•cuttingBLADE PAD and slide under press.

Moving the cover and blade on the cutting board through the equipment, pressing the handle up and down each time to get a clean cut.

The shape is now ready to make the cover.

Using O.caseMAKING KIT, fold over the three edges of the design, do not fold the side with the square corners.

Now stick the inside liner on to the cover. Put a piece of paper over the liner to protect the rollers from excess glue then run the cover through the laminator.

How to make personalised soft cover mounted photo book:

Cut the printed design to the template size or smaller.

Put the o.magnetic stop in the position required using the scale

Assemble creasing device Fit the creasing unit to the equipment

Peal one centimeter back of thelongest edge, of the O.DSAsticky paper, stick the paper on tothe O.photoBLOCK maker.

Stick a photo to the O•DSApaper. Repeat this action stickingphotos and O•DSA paper alternately. O•DSA must be stuck when movable stop is down and up for photos.

Push down the stop place picture on sticky paper then peal the rest of protector paper of and press down the picture fi rmly and repeat the process for each page.

Take back side of O•DSA paper.

Print photos for photo book.

Take the photo block, and stickthe cover starting from the backtogether.

Place o.trimming blade in right place of the photo book.

Cut the photo book to the proper size. Use O•trimming blade and cut the photo block from three sides.

Your personalised mounted photo book is ready.

Crease the photos for the innerpages in the middle one creaseonly.

Every inner page must be creased properly.

Crease cover photo with two line. Space between crease lines depends on the number of pages inside the photo book.

Lift up the movable stop.

When the photo block is ready, stick the cover starting from the back of the design.

Remove the photo block with backcover side stuck to it.
