Présentation du lauréat du Prix Exton Grandes Ecoles 2018
Human’East (EDHEC)
The main purpose of the association is to help children in difficulty in Ukraine by meeting the material needs of the institutions that receive them (hospitals, sanatoriums, orphanages...) through an annual mission of 2 to 3 weeks in Ukraine.
Human'East won the sum of €3,000 and was able to finance its One Bag, One Smile project
The One Bag, One Smile project aimed to distribute bags containing hygiene products to children affected by conflict in the Donbass area (Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts). 210 bags were distributed, 90 more than expected. To achieve these two new objectives, we have added €723 of equity to the project, in addition to the €3,000 allocated by Exton Consulting. The total budget of the project is therefore €3,723.
These children, who have often fled their homes in a hurry, sometimes live in precarious conditions in Kharkiv, despite the strong support of local associations. The support of the ACCenter association, which provides assistance to displaced people in Donbass, was crucial for the concrete implementation of the project. “Our collaboration with ACCenter has allowed us to specify the contents of the bags, and adapt them to three age categories: toddlers, schoolchildren and teenagers. In view of the needs expressed in terms of educational material, Human'East has decided to add to the hygiene products (soap, toothpaste, toothbrush and bath towel), notebooks, coloured pencils, a drawing book, a paint box, brushes, modelling clay, educational toys and a complete kit.”
