For full-time African-American students majoring in political science or business with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Consideration may be given to financial need.

For full-time students who are children of present or former Arkansas Louisiana Gas (Arkla/CenterPoint) employees. Selection based on academic record and financial need. Requires a high school GPA of 3.0 or college GPA of 2.5 or above.

For full-time students who graduated from a high school in the city of Conway, Arkansas (or, if home schooled, resided in the service area of Conway Corporation at the time of graduation) and have an ACT of 21 or above and high school GPA of 2.75 or above. Consideration may be given to financial need. Children of Conway Corporation Board of Directors are ineligible for consideration.

For full-time entering freshmen, transfer, or non-traditional students who demonstrate financial need. Entering freshmen criteria: GPA of 2.75 or above and ACT score of 21-23 (24 or above if not receiving a UCA academic scholarship). Transfer student criteria: satisfactory completion of 30 hours or more from another institution and GPA of 3.0 or above. Non-traditional student (age 25 or above) criteria: sat-isfactory completion of 12 hours or more and GPA of 3.0 or above.

For full-time students majoring in mathematics or natural sciences with a GPA of 3.0 or above. First preference given to active members (two year minimum) of Conway First Presbyterian Church.

For full-time students majoring in journalism who have completed 60 hours or more with a GPA of 2.5 or above. Consideration shall be given to financial need.

First preference shall be given to descendants of the John D. and Flora Boyd Crow family or the William C. and Mary Seay White family. Second preference shall be given to students who reside in Phillips or Faulkner County (Arkansas).

For full-time female African-American students who are residents of Faulkner County (Arkansas) and majoring within the College of Fine Arts and Communication. The recipient shall be an active member of their church with preference given to a student involved in the church’s music program. Selection shall be based on financial need and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

For full-time entering freshmen from Faulkner County (Arkansas) with a GPA of 2.75 or above who manifest academic seriousness and discipline; demonstrate sound moral character and personal maturity. Consideration may be given to financial need.

For full-time students enrolled in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Selection based on financial need and GPA of 2.5 or above.

For students majoring in business, music, nursing or an educational degree who are from Faulkner County (Arkansas) with a GPA of 3.5 or above. Preference shall be given to relatives of the Melissa Metheny family. Selection based on academic performance and financial need.

BILL AND JOYCE MILLER FAMILY SCHOL ARSHIP

For full-time students with preference given to students who have been a member of the Boys and Girls Club of their respective com-munity. Second preference given to students pursuing a degree in the College of Liberal Arts. Requires an ACT of 24 or above and a high school cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above. Consideration may be given to financial need.

For full-time entering freshmen who are graduates of Arkansas High School in Texarkana (Arkansas). Preference shall be given to students from Arkansas High School. Second preference shall be given to any

HANK ADAMS SCHOL ARSHIP

For full-time undergraduate students with a declared major, who are U. S. citizens and in good academic standing. Must have completed 12 hours or more at UCA and be a legal Arkansas resident or the child/grandchild of a former UCA student who has received a degree or has completed a minimum of 60 hours at UCA. Preference given to students who do not qualify or receive any academic scholarships and those who do not qualify for need-based grants. Selection based on financial need and academic performance.

AFRICAN AMERICAN SCHOL ARSHIP

For full-time African-American students who are entering freshmen with an ACT of 21 or above and a high school GPA of 2.75 or above. First preference shall be given to recent high school graduates who are residents of Ashley, Drew, Union, Desha, Phillips, Chicot, St. Francis or Jefferson County (Arkansas). Second preference shall be given to students who are residents of Arkansas. Selection based on academic

performance, financial need, and 200-300 word essay explaining what impact the recipient will have on the African-American culture at UCA.

AL UMNI GENERAL SCHOL ARSHIP AND ENDOWMENT

For full-time students who have completed 60 hours or more at UCA with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Selection based on financial need and essay explaining why you chose your field of study and what leadership and/or academic services you have demonstrated at UCA. A recommendation letter from a staff or faculty member must be sub-mitted attesting to your leadership and/or academic services to UCA.

MAR VIN BISHOP MEMORIAL SCHOL ARSHIP

For full-time undergraduate students who have completed 60 hours or more and are Arkansas residents. First preference given to Cherokee descendants. Requires a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Selection based on academic performance and consideration may be given to financial need.

HAR VEY A . BUFFAL O SCHOL ARSHIP

For full-time undergraduate students with 12 hours or more complet-ed at UCA and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Applicants with 24 or more hours completed at UCA will be given first consideration. Selection based on financial need and academic performance.

DAVID AND L AURA GRIMES SCHOL ARSHIP

For full-time entering freshmen and current UCA students who are graduates of Conway or Springdale Public Schools with a high school GPA of 2.5 or above. First preference given to descendants of David and Laura Grimes and their siblings. Selection based on academic performance and financial need.

For full-time students who have sufficient credit toward a bachelor’s degree at UCA and have been accepted into the UCA graduate school or students who have completed 6 graduate hours or more at UCA with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. Selection based on academic performance.

For full-time undergraduate students who are majoring in mathe-matics or within the College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics. Requires cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and completion of 60 hours or more at UCA. Selection based on academic performance and consideration may be given to financial need.

SULL ARDS FAMILY SCHOL ARSHIP

For full-time undergraduate or graduate students who have complet-ed 60 hours or more; 30 of those hours must have been completed in the UCA College of Education and who plan to teach. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above and be a child/grandchild of a UCA graduate. Selection based on financial need.

UCA LICENSE PL ATE PR OGRAM SCHOL ARSHIP

For full-time students who are the child/grandchild of a UCA gradu-ate and have completed 60 hours or more at UCA with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Selection based on academic performance and essay explaining why you chose your field of study and what leadership and/or academic services you have demonstrated at UCA. A recommendation letter from a staff or faculty member must be sub-mitted attesting to your leadership and/or academic services to UCA.

For full-time students pursuing a degree in special education or early childhood education. Requires a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above and completion of 60 hours or more. Selection based on academic performance and consideration may be given to financial need.
