Primary Care Directory: Update of service hours

during Christmas and New Year holidays and other information

To facilitate the public to search for doctors providing service during the coming Christmas and

New Year holidays, the Primary Care Directory (the Directory) will display a tailored list of

doctors in the main page (apps.pcdirectory.gov.hk/Public/Main/Main.aspx) and the mobile

website starting from 18 December 2019, as shown below:

If your clinic will be open on 25 - 26 December 2019, 1 January 2020, please update the service

hours in the Directory by the following steps:

1) Login your account at apps.pcdirectory.gov.hk/SP/Main/Main.aspx ;

2) Under item “Special Arrangement” in ”Opening Hours” of the “Practice Information”

section, select “Add Public Holiday” and the days of clinic opening during public holidays;

3) Select “Other opening hour” and input the time slots;

4) Select “Service provided by other doctor” (where appropriate);

5) Click “save & confirm” to submit the update directly and a confirmation message will be

shown.

The update will be displayed in the Directory for search and viewing by the public after mid-

night.

Please note that “No Service” will be set by default for public holidays unless service hours

are inputted under the “Special Arrangement”. For details, please refer to the attached

illustration.

In addition, kindly be reminded to review your correspondence and practice information such as

practice address and telephone number, etc. in the Directory and update them if necessary.

According to the Terms and Conditions of the Directory, enrolled healthcare providers shall

ensure all information in relation to the Directory is up-to-date, true, accurate and complete in

all aspects; and shall inform the Primary Healthcare Office immediately of any changes in any

After logging in your PCD account:

Click “Edit”.

Select “Practice Information”

Go to “Opening Hours”

If service will be provided on 25-26 December 2019, 01 January 2020 or other public holidays, please input the service hours under “Special Arrangement”.

Please note that “No Service” will be set by default for public holidays unless service hours are inputted under the “Special Arrangement”.

Click “Add Public Holiday”

Please select the public holidays that you will provide service or you may click “Select all” to select all public holidays.

Click “Confirm”

In the selected public holidays, please select “Other opening hour” and input the opening hours during the selected day(s)

Check this box if the service will be provided by other doctor Click “Save & Confirm” to submit the update request

The list of doctors will be displayed in the Directory from 18 December 2019 to 01January 2020

The list of doctors will be categorised by regions (desktop version)

Additional update if necessary -Update of opening hours for weekdays around Christmas and New Year holidays(e.g. 24th December 2019)

If the service hours of weekdays around public holidays (e.g. 24 December 2019) are different from regular weekdays, please input the information under “Special Arrangement”. Otherwise, services hours for regular weekdays will be displayed.
