Welcome. Now as in the past 25 years, Laumont makes the critical difference to your imaging project. Whether you need scanning, retouch-ing, grand format chromogenic or pigment fine art prints/ portfolios, framing and/or mounting; look to us to provide expert solu-tions to your debut shows and limited editions as well as your career-spanning “block- buster” museum-wide retrospective. This is our mission.
Our state-of-the-art facility has no parallel; but more than machines, chemicals and soft-ware, we deliver craftsmanship of the utmost quality because we live within images and for creative individuals.
A deep well of experience allows us know what our clients want and provide the right answer for them. This means that we attend to needs within your work nearly too subtle to be described. It also means that we streamline your work- flow so that each component with-in the process (such as scanning, printing, or framing) complements the other. Thus, the weight of a complex workflow will not bear upon the work; rather it will be cost and time effective.
Quality is not only the manifestation of skill and talent but also the result of commu-nication and synergy with our clients.

Scanning Image capture is the first and per-haps the most crucial step in the digital imaging process. Our equip-ment and master staff deliver image capture of the highest possible fi-delity from all film and reflective originals.
Size and medium of output should be determined before each scan. Optimally, a scan is done at a 1:1 ratio of final out- put size at a reso-lution appropriate to the output medium.
A visual reference and/or your in-structions are recommended for the scanning of color negatives or when a variant creative output is intend-ed.
➝Drum ScanningOur state of the art equipment in-cludes three Isomet 405 HR drum scanners and a Heidelberg Hell Primescan D8200.
They offer maximal optical resolu-tion and make 16-bit image process-ing available from originals

➝Cruse Scanning The grand-format Cruse Scanner eliminates the need to copy artwork with a camera. Indeed, it captures greater texture and de-tail, and its lighting system illuminates art-work more evenly than traditional studio lighting can.
This machine reproduces all forms of reflec-tive artwork, such as paintings on stretchers, up to 60 x 80”. Other sizes are priced ac-cordingly.

➝LVT Digital Output The LVT Film recorder is the benchmark in professional digital film recording. It can produce transparencies and black and white negatives as large as 8x10”. LVTs are a means to scale small digital files in order to produce large prints. They also produce digital slides which can be new masters for high volume du-plication or projection purposes.
LVTs can be made in multiple resolutions from res 20 to res 120. When order- ing, specify output size and resolution. LVT makes outputs from Photoshop, Illustra-tor, Quark, Indesign, and other image making applications.

Retouching Laumont has a long tradition of digital artistry . Our digi-tal image creation team opens infinite possibilities, enabling clients to manipulate and control every aspect and charac-teristic of an image. Prominent artists collaborate with us on major exhibition and edition projects, turning vision into reality. This work now hangs in the world’s leading galleries and museums.
Each image will be charged a minimum of one hour. Addi-tional time will be charged in half hour increments. Ser-vices are quoted on a per-project basis.
When retouching is a part of a print project, we must proof on the final print- ing device and surface. The charge for this proofing is not a part of the retouch- ing fee. All finals will be archived and are available for retrieval at anytime.
Retouching $200/hour
CD Burn $15 each
Archival Retrieval $10 per image
Printing The term “Master Printer” is often misused. However, our top professionals earn this mantle, providing an unrivaled depth of experience and communication, making Lau-mont art photography’s most trusted brand.
Laumont offers silver halide prints in either chromogenic or black and white fiber processes as well as pigment and UV prints on a vast array of paper stocks and substrates.
The various methods of printing are related but differ in both tangible and intangible ways. Each method varies in terms of surface quality , visual timbre, maximum size, color gamut, etc.
A studio visit is the best way to under- stand how each approach might suit your work
➝Silver Halide Prints When one thinks of the look of “photo-graphic” prints, one is thinking of chro-mogenic and fiber prints. Silver halide processes offer the highest dynamic range, widest gamut, and finest gradients of all print media.
We offer these prints in every available surface and variety. We can print single images 6 feet in the short dimension, and single prints can be produced at lengths of 30 feet and greater. Wall and building sized multi-segmented pieces are avail- able upon request.
We are now the first to offer digital black and white fiber prints. We use traditional paper and chemistry and deliver classic fiber prints. But, because we expose the paper digitally, artists take advantage of contemporary imaging techniques and retain fine resolution even at mural-sized proportions of 50 inches in the short di-mension.
!
*Digital print prices include any cropping, color correction and basic cleanup. Any image content changes constitute billable retouching. For all prints, we invite you to view up to 2 proofs; additional testing incurs a charge equivalent to our 2nd print price of that proof ’s size.
For fiber prints, we offer sepia, sele-nium, or standard color toning for 50% additional.
We offer prints on translucent film (Fujitrans, Enduratrans, Cibatrans) for 40% additional and transparent film (Fujiclear, Enduraclear) for 50% additional. After a first final print is made, additional digital print orders will not incur a set-up fee for a peri-od of 1 month. Additional tradition-al prints must be ordered immediate-ly upon approval.
For clients who wish to do their own digital work, we offer a reduced “output only” price, without image manipulation. Before running a full size final print, we recommend a proof to verify image quality. Testing fees are in-curred per each proof, “a la carte”. Files should be in RGB, and can be saved as Tiff or Photoshop files.

➝Pigment Prints The appeal of pigment prints lie within the physicality of the medium. Ink on paper possesses a palpable and uniquely satisfying presence. In this process, the paper be-comes an active protagonist in the artwork. For this reason, a myriad of distinctive pa-per stocks are available. For photographers, the marriage of photography and the versa-tility of the ink jet process has made a unique contribution to the vocabulary of visual art.
Moreover, painters, sculptors, print- makers and draftsmen use the inkjet processes and fine rag paper to extend their work digitally while retaining the immediacy and richness of their traditional mediums.
–– and, if desired, at five or six feet in the short dimension.
!
-All sizes (except 11x14) are proofed at half- size. Cropped, full-scale proofs are available upon request in addition to the half- size proofs. All proofs are billable. Full-sized proofs are billed at the 2nd print price.
-The size categories refer to paper size. If the image is less than 50% of the paper size, the size category will apply to image size and a paper surcharge of $ 3.00 per excess square ft will be applied per print. Larger prints and multi-segmented murals are available on quotation.
-Prices are for our standard papers and substrates only. Client supplied and non-standard stocks are subject to review for suitability as well as surcharge.
-Four blade cuts are included with each print. Each cut beyond is $1.00. All torn edges are $2.00 each.

Upon com-pletion of the project, the invoice balance must be paid in full is prior to pick up, delivery, or shipping. Payment can be made by check drawn on a U.S. bank, money order, Visa, Mastercard or American Ex-press. Net 30 terms on previously approved corporate or institutional purchases only. 1.5% finance charges will apply monthly to overdue ac-counts.
Our basic prices are subject to change by us without notice and are non- negotiable. However, projects involving large quantities or editions qualify for discount pricing.
