RASA Association special conditions Enrolment At least 30% of the full price must be joined with every booking. The reception of this deposit means final booking only if there are rooms available. Once accepted, the final balance will have to be paid upon your arrival in Ujjain-India April 25th 2016. An appointment notification will be sent 20 to 10 days before for the airport meeting at Indore – India where taxis car can be booked for the last 50 kms drive to the Ujjain Kumbh Mela camp. Price Each traveller fully accepts the price conditions. International and domestic flights, visa fees, drinks and individual travels are not included. Liability •! Police and sanitary regulations: Each traveller will have to strictly follow them. Their non-application

will be the traveller responsibility who will have to pay all extra expenses if any. •! Trip particulars: Regarding the specificity of that trip, we cannot be responsible if dates, timing or

itinerary have to be changed, and especially if they are due to unpredictable events where the traveller security might be uncertain. Each traveller will have to strictly follow the guide instructions. We cannot be responsible for incidents, accidents or physical injures resulting from unsafe individual activity, or in the case of travel incapacity. Taking advise from your doctor before booking is safer.

•! Modifications during the trip: The organiser should not be mistaken with other service agencies, which have their own responsibilities. If the carrier changes the dates of flights, we cannot, in anyway, be taken as responsible, and could ask you an extra payment based on the real extra expenses involved. If it shows that the original services can’t be provided, we will try our best to give something else as similar as possible. Any changes in the program, transportations, itinerary, lodging not depending on our will won’t be refundable. The traveller won’t refuse them on groundless motive.

Cancellation •! On your side: Any cancellation before the day of departure has to be done through registered mail.

Cancellation fees are as follow: more than 31 days before the day of departure, 100 € will be kept by the Organiser; between 30 and 15 days, the total advance booking price will be kept. These fees are only concerning the Rasa Association side. 0n the carrier side (or his representative), the cancellation fees will only depend on the specific reasons written in the insurance contract regarding cancellation. Any break resulting of the traveller free will during the trip won’t be refundable.

•! On our side: If we had to cancel the trip, for any reason we cannot control, you will be repaid in full. However, this trip being dependent on a basic number of persons, if we were to cancel it because of not enough inscriptions, we will inform you 21 days before the day of departure at the latest. In such a case, there won’t be any compensation given.

Insurance A comprehensive travel insurance (personal, social, health, repatriation and cancellation) must be taken and bought personally by each traveller and a copy of the contract must be sent to the Organiser at the latest 30 days before the day of his/her departure. In case the traveller does not send the Insurance contract in due time, RASA Association will cancel his/her participation with no refund of the booking fee.

Travels Airport-Indore and back have to be paid separately by each traveler according to his/her choice (bus, taxis, trains are operating) Due to the large number of pilgrims going to the Kumbha Mela, we strongly advise to go by taxi (about 50km – around 30€) Special offers are made for yoga teachers coming with at least 12 students (1 free stay + a place for teaching). Please be kind to contact us for that particular organization. Note : Yogis and ascetics are very unpredictable; most of the time very open to visitors, they can also be reluctant without precise reason. The organiser should not be taken for responsible of their behaviours.

Kumbha Melâ From Kumbha (cup) and Melâ (meeting), this festival was created by the great mystic and reformer Shankarâchârya (9th century) to give all ancient schools of spirituality the opportunity to gather and decide the main teachings to be spread all over the people for the next twelve years to come. It is still today the biggest meeting of pilgrims, wandering yogis, wise men and sages organised on the planet. What can be seen there is of the most astonishing: fiery eyed ascetics, yogis absorbed in deep meditation, groups of mystics from Himalayan jungles or caves, whole villages of pilgrims, holy men with smiling face … The main moments planed according to traditional astrology are huge collective baths where all dive with great jubilation in the river. The life is organised in camps where yogis of the same schools of knowledge come together from all over India. We can meet there almost all the different spiritual paths that have existed from centuries and transformed the whole Indian culture itself: followers of so many yogis, meditation schools, Vedanta, devotional, energetic, tantric ways… and many others paths very little known out of India. Living the beating heart of the Kumbha Melâ is like taking a bath in the sacred dimension of traditional spiritualities. Living the beating of the sacred Inside an ashram located at the right centre of the festival we have organised a camp for westerners with a daily program of meeting ascetics, lectures, practical teachings and cultural events of music, dance, vocals, theatre and poetry, leaving at the same time everyone free to organise his/her day. This will help us to invite instructors from different paths to come with their disciples to meet them, instead of running after them, the property itself being along the river on the main bathing place (lodging in double room or hut, first quality food, ayurvedic doctor on the spot) Aside from this mythological event which has deeply marked this city built along the river Shipra, Ujjain is one of the most revered place of India, housing wonderful architectural values of the past that have helped it to become an important pilgrimage spot. Because of its natural peaceful feeling, the former spiritual yoga leaders of the 5th century had chosen Ujjain to establish many retreat centres, which are still running today. Visits to those places meeting the yogis living there will be organised according to the possibilities. Guide André Riehl has travelled through “India of yogis” during the last 30 years. He has met many masters and teachers of several traditions. Having studied genuine teachings from the Nath and Uddasin lineages, he sometimes guides groups to India. He will take care of the whole organisation and be the link in between travellers and the Indian team. Pundit Radheshyam with his team are in charge of the whole logistic on the spot.
