The County Theater’sProposed Expansion

Your Feedback:Over 900 people have responded to our survey

about the County Theater’s proposed expansion

and over 300 people have come to our 7 in-person

meetings at the theater. Here is what you said is

most important:

Other things that you said should be considered:

- A community meeting space

- A multi-purpose stage

- Staying true to the “feel” of the County Theater

and Doylestown

- Serving non-candy and alcohol options

- Stadium seating

1. First Floor Bathrooms.

2. Staying true to our mission as a movie theater.

3. Providing more film options.

The County Theater has purchased the “Poor Richards” building next door and intendsto expand its theater operations onto that parcel.  We have reached out to our members

and friends to help us with that process.  Here is some of your feedback.

Page 17: Previews 97 - County Theater · premiere at Cannes, is the true story of interracial couple Richard and Mildred Loving who fought for their right to marry in 1950s Virginia. Their

Moving Forward:

1. Expert planning.  We are hiring an architectural firm and a fundraising

consultant to help guide us through the ongoing planning process.

2. Continued engagement and feedback.  We will continue to include you, our

members and friends, in our planning.  This fall there will be multiple on-line and

in-person opportunities to help shape our ideas into concrete plans.

3. Our timeline.  We are still on schedule.  The remainder of 2016 will be spent

planning.  In 2017, we will begin to formalize our building plans and to start our

major fundraising.  In 2018, we hope to start construction.  All subject to review.

4. Your help is needed.  Stay connected by signing up for our weekly email.

We’ll be calling upon you in specific ways as we move forward.  Thank you.
