    Introduction to Grouping

    Techniques" Simply defined, GROUPING TECHNIQUES refer to themethods of segregating the students into groups for cooperative

    learning.

    " Though simple, it cannot be ignored. We as educators, aid in thefacilitation of the effectiveness of the groups cohesiveperformance through our chosen grouping technique.

    " There are several conventional and simple grouping techniquesthat are often used:

    "Through numbering" Through the drawing of lots

    Chosen Grouping Technique" Our chosen grouping technique:

    " Group students according to their performance in therelevant subjects.

    For example: Best Math Student, Strong Math studentand Weak Math Student.

    " By segregating them according to their performance, weare not increasing the division amongst the students

    but to also foster scaffolding in their learning journeyof the subject through an activity.

    GAME SET-UP

    " Divide the students into pairs based on chosen groupingtechnique

    " Place one pair in each of Main Subject Square" Place the Class Monitor in the Discipline Master Square" Place two students in Food and Nutrition Square, National

    Education Square, Recess Square and Art Square.

    " The best students for each subject will be moving aroundthe board to solve questions and help the other students.

    Objectives and Benefits of

    REVISIOPOLY" Verbal/ Linguistic Intelligence - During the game, students answer the

    questions posted according to the dice thrown. Explanation is also required

    to help students understand the answers better.

    " Logical/ Mathematical Intelligence - Throwing of dices and asking ofmathematical questions to students.

    " Visual/ Spatial Intelligence - Once questions are answered, students canwrite the answers and explain on the whiteboard.

    " Bodily/Kinaesthetic Intelligence - Students have to participate physicallythrough movement from squares to squares, according to the dice thrown. In

    addition, there is Physical Education square which incorporates healthy

    lifestyle while studying.

    Objectives and Benefits of

    REVISIOPOLY" Musical/Rhythmic Intelligence We incorporated National Education intothe game through music with the students singing national day songs

    whenever they land on the respective square.

    " Interpersonal Intelligence Through the game, we help to foster theirinterpersonal intelligence through scaffolding and cooperative learning.Students are required to communicate with other students if they need any

    assistance.

    " Intrapersonal Intelligence - Through the different subjects asked and theDiscipline Masters Room square, they will not only reflect and identify their

    strengths and weaknesses in the respective topics, we also aiding them in the

    development of their sense of self-awareness and responsibility.
