Piet MondrianNeoplasticism:
‘prava plasticna umetnost’
Postoji stara i nova svest
vremena. Stara svest je
usmerena ka
pojedinacnom. Nova je
usmerene ka univerzalnom.
There is an old and a new consciousness of the age. The
old one is directed towards the individual. The new one is
directed towards universal.’

Konacni zadatak svake kreativne delatnosti je
izgradnja!
Dekoracija zgrada je nekad bila najplemenitija
svrha lepih umetnosti i lepe umetnosti su bile
neophodne velikoj arhitekturi. Danas su one
neoprezno izolovane i jedino mogu biti
spasene svesnom saradnjom svih stvaralaca.
Arhitekte, slikari i skulptori moraju ponovo da
nauce i razumeju kompleksnu prirodu
gradjevine i kao celine i u smislu njenih
pojedinih delova. Tada ce njihov rad biti
ispunjen pravim duhom arhitekture, koji je
buduci ‘salonska umetnost’ ona izgubila.

1933• 11. aprila, na pocetku letnjeg semestra 11, policija je pretresla i zapecatila
zgradu Bauhausa; 32 studenta su privremeno uhapsena.
• Pismo iz Drzavne tajne policije, datirano 21. jula, nabraja nekoliko uslova za
ponovno otvaranje skole; od Kandinskog i Hilberseimera se trazi da napuste
svoja radna mesta i da ih predaju osoblju koje ‘stoji na tlu ideologije Nacional
Socijalista’ , kao i da novi program studija zadovolji ‘zahteve nove drzave I
njene unutrasnje organizacije.’
• U toku sledecih nekoliko godina najistaknutiji profesori Bauhausa emigriraju,
medju njima:
Josef Albers (1933/USA),
Vassily Kandinsky (1933/France),
Paul Klee (1933/Switzerland),
Walter Gropius (1934/Great Britain, 1937/USA),
