Brother Buck Woodworth and his sweet wife, Shannon are doing a great job… Brother Buck tells me that Shannon loves working with the children, both at the Primary School and Sunday School. They bought a 4-wheel drive Toyota so they can get around better. The Lord has been good to them and to us for allowing them to be there and giving them a heart for the work. The core people seem to be hanging in there pretty good. Buck’s desire is to see souls saved and the work increasing. Please continue to pray for them as they lead the work in our absence. Please be in prayer about their support level and the soul-winning efforts in Guyana. The Lord Is SO Good… Some of you may not even know yet, that we left Port Kaituma in a hurry on the morning of November 10th. The “only wise God” has spared my life and has been with Patty and I through one of the longest trials that we have ever faced. At 3½ months, I am still in a hospital bed. I am doing my therapy in the home of a friend and am able to get up into the wheel chair for a few hours a day. I am even taking some small steps as I learn to walk again! Patty writes the second page of this letter with more details of what happened to me and how the “God of all comfort” was with us every step of the way! My Precious “Nurse”… Patty has really taken care of me over these last 3 months. She was able to sleep in my room at the hospitals and the rehab facility, which proved to be a life saver on a number of occasions! A special “Thank You” to the love of my life! If I could marry you again, I would… even though you give me those injections twice a day. Our Plans… “If The Lord Will”… We need to get through the healing process before beginning our furlough. We have a strong desire to report and re-present the work in Guyana to our supporting churches. You all have been beyond faithful in your commitment to the work in Guyana. At this point in time, while we are here in the U.S.A., about half of our sup- port goes to supplement the work in Guyana! Praise the Lord and thank you for your contin- ued support… as we plan to go back to start a church in Georgetown, the Capitol city. The need is tremendous… We also plan to get back on the radio with a broadcast of the Daily Scripture Songs. For 3 years the program brought callers with needs, from all over the coun- try. I know the Lord spared my life and I feel like we are not finished in Guyana… However, if the Lord has something else for us, and shows us clearly, I will let you know all about it. For now we will be on furlough and doing all the traveling, singing, preaching, praying and shouting that we possibly can. The October & November CDs… Are included with this package to our supporters and immediate family. The CD series is now complete… with 365 Scripture Songs on 12 monthly CDs. Visit the web site for details. www.DailyScriptureSongs.Com We have also included a VERY temporary “Prayer Card”... Until We See You Face To Face… Let me say, a very special “Thank you” to all of the many friends, family and regular supporters that sent financial help to get me out of Guyana! The emergency “Medevac” flight cost over $33,000.00 U.S. Dollars! I would have died right there in the Public Hospital, had people not responded so quickly. Thanks to so many are in order. We have tried to send “Thank You” cards and only hope we did not miss anyone! We love you… With Praise & Thanksgiving... Dean D. Runyon Special thanks to Bro. Deuteronomy 31:8 “And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee;

he will be with thee, he will not fail thee,

neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”

Isaiah 41:13 “For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand,

saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”

Dear friends and family,

Those are two of the Scripture Song Verses that I sang to Dean while he was under sedation in the ICU,

not knowing if the Lord was pleased to let him live, or not. For those of you who would like to hear the whole

story of what happened to Dean, I will try to sum it up. It started early Saturday morning, Nov. 10th. Dean

started passing blood, then vomiting blood, too. By the grace of God, an emergency plane came from 20

minutes away. We didn’t know what was happening, but he needed help! Dean lay in the floor of the little

6-seater plane (2 seats out) on the way to the hospital in Georgetown, 1 hour away. Once in the emergency

room, tests were taken, and after a long wait, Dean was taken to surgery at about 8:00 p.m. that night. They

found his colon had ruptured, and during the surgery his heart rate went very high and his blood pressure went

very low, but he made it through, thank the Lord! For over a week, he was sedated and on a ventilator. We

thank the Lord that the ICU staff had been well trained, and they had the medication to help stabilize his heart

and blood pressure, also to help reduce infection. Still, on the next Monday his incision opened. They were

able to stabilize him enough to be flown out on Wed., Nov. 21st by medevac to Gainesville, FL. We are so

grateful to so many friends and family who gave to pay for that medevac (over $33,000). What a miracle!

Dean was admitted into Shands Hospital in Gainesville. They gave him wonderful care! He had to go into

surgery 2 more times, and they got the infection under control. We didn’t know what a competent hospital it

was, and everyone there was so kind and considerate. God had led us to that hospital. He does answer prayer!

Dean was getting better! On Nov. 28th, while Dean was in surgery, Kim said she had a few minutes for me to

show her how to know she could have eternal life! Kim, who is a respiratory therapist in her 20’s, sweetly

prayed, herself, and received the Lord Jesus as her Saviour! That was thrilling! She was so happy! She told

another nurse, and went to church Sunday! Praise the Lord! Dean was in ICU until Dec. 8th. He had been in

something like a medical coma, because he was not awake or coherent until Dec.1st. He was discharged Dec.

14th, and went to a rehab/nursing care facility for 3 days, but put back into the hospital with blood clots in his

lungs! (very scary) Then Dec. 21st—Jan 16th he was in another rehab/nursing facility. Now we are staying

in Dunnellon, FL at the house of a precious widow lady, Gari Sullivan. We thank the Lord for so many

blessings. Dean has been getting stronger, and looking forward to preaching again. I thank the Lord for

hearing my heart’s cry and letting me still have my loving husband. Thank you to so many of you who have

been praying for Dean all along the way.

Thank you for giving. You all mean so much to us! We thank the Lord for you, and for His wonderful

lovingkindness to us!

Psalm 145: 2-3 “Everyday will I bless thee: and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.”

All because of Jesus,

Patty
