All parents and carers are invited and encouraged to attend. Each class will be participating in a lesson focusing on Paddington’s Learning Powers. It is a great opportunity for our families to engage in our learning to learn strategies. Life Long Learning Once again our staff development day was held at Glenmore Road Public School. Together, with La Perouse and Glenmore Road our teachers participated in a day of learning around providing and receiving feedback. This was an important day as it was another step in our journey towards establishing a school culture where learning is visible to both students and teachers. What works best from a teaching perspective and how to support students in achieving and progressing towards individual learning goals through feedback was a focus throughout the day. I am really proud of the professional manner and conversations our staff participate in at these combined training sessions. We have a talented team, working together and dedicated to continuing their own learning journey. Uninterrupted Learning Time Teachers and office staff are working on improving the number of interruptions to our learning times during the day. The purpose is to lower distractions and increase focus time during lesson periods. We need your support in this effort: It is important students arrive to school on time and if an appointment can be made outside of school hours please do so. This will lower the number of interruptions to classrooms that inevitably occur when students arrive or leave outside of break time.
