• Neveruseaerosolproducts,petroleumbasedlubricantsorotherflammableproducts on or near shredder. Do not use canned air on shredder.

• Donotuseifdamagedordefective.Donotdisassembleshredder. Do not place near or over heat source or water.

• Operation,maintenance,andservicerequirementsarecoveredintheinstructionmanual. Read the entire instruction manual before operating shredders.

• ThisshredderhasaDisconnectPowerSwitch(F)thatmustbeintheON(I)positiontooperateshredder.Incaseofemergency,moveswitchtoOFF(O)position.Thisactionwillstopshredderimmediately.

• Avoidtouchingexposedcuttingbladesundershredderhead.

• Shreddermustbepluggedintoaproperlygroundedwalloutletorsocketofthevoltageandamperagedesignatedonthelabel.Thegroundedoutletorsocketmustbeinstalledneartheequipmentandeasilyaccessible.Energyconverters,transformers,orextensioncordsshouldnotbeusedwiththisproduct.

LimitedWarranty:Fellowes,Inc.(“Fellowes”)warrantsthepartsofthemachinetobefreeofdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipandprovidesserviceandsupportfor2yearsfromthedateof purchase by the original consumer. Fellowes warrants the cutting blades of the machine to be freefromdefects inmaterialandworkmanshipforthelifetimeoftheshredder.Ifanypart isfoundtobedefectiveduringthewarrantyperiod,yoursoleandexclusiveremedywillberepairorreplacement,atFellowes’optionandexpense,ofthedefectivepart.Thiswarrantydoesnotapplyincasesofabuse,mishandling,failuretocomplywithproductusagestandards,shredderoperation using an improper power supply (other than listed on the label), or unauthorizedrepair. CLEANING AUTO-START INFRARED SENSORSPaperdetectionsensorsaredesignedformaintenancefreeoperation.However,onrareoccasionsthesensorsmaybecomeblockedbypaperdustcausingthemotortorunevenifthereisno paper present. (Note:twopaperdetectionsensorsarelocatedinthecenterofthepaperentry).

A. Overheat Indicator: WhentheOverheatIndicatorisilluminated,theshredderhasexceededitsmaximum operatingtemperatureandneedstocooldown.Thisindicatorwillremainilluminatedandtheshredderwill not operate for the duration of the recovery time. See Basic Shredding Operation for more information about the continuous operation and recovery time for this shredder.

B. Bin Open:Theshredderwillnotrunifthebinisopen. Whenilluminated,closethebintoresumeshredding.

C. Bin Full:Whenilluminated,theshredderwastebinisfullandneedstobeemptied. UseFelloweswastebag36053.

D. Remove Paper:Whenilluminated,pressreverse( ) and remove paper. Reducepaperquantitytoanacceptableamountandrefeedintopaperentry.
