The academic achievements of HND graduates at 2013 CSCSE-HND survey
• The willingness of taking top-up degree is high and the general performance of HND students is
good
• Approx. 60% HND students successfully undertook undergraduate top-up degree (60%), and
24% for Masters and PhDs
• Language proficiencies of HND students are generally high. Some obtained IELTS score of 7.5.

NZQA ASSESSMENT REPORT ON HND
•Delivered by New Zealand Qualification Authority
(NZQA) in 2013, with guidance from CSCSE and SQA
• Contents include: the background of HND program,
comparability with New Zealand Qualification
Framework & Quality Assurance of HND program
• HND is listed as the level 8 on the Scottish Credit and
Qualifications Framework (SCQA) and level 5 on the
European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
• With evaluation, it is comparable to the level 5 and 6
of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF)
