Poster In terms of my poster, and through product research such as deconstructions of genre and nongenre specific film posters, there were many conventions of posters which I had identified, used, developed and challenged: USED Billing block A billing block is a type of credits, specifically for posters. This references the directors, production company, music, producers and other crew members. Here is an example of the romantic film ‘If I stay’: Furthermore, the billing block is usually seen at the bottom of the poster, as it has the least importance in terms of the features, although it is used for extra information and credit of the film. Without a billing block, noone would know who made the film and all the other ‘behind the screen’ aspects of it, therefore the billing block is seen to be an authenticity to show the audience the information. Also, the billing block uses a very distinctive style of font, which I replicated on Adobe Photoshop using the ‘Trajan Pro’ font. Here is my billing block, positioned in the bottom centre of my poster: Title In real media products, I identified that the title is usually in the biggest font on the page, as it has high importance to the film, thus the initial recognition. The title is also in a font associated with the other packages, like the film magazine and trailer, which I also used. Furthermore, the title would also overlay the background image, using a font in order to make it stand out amongst the image and other texts. Here is an example of the Fault in our stars film title:
