May 6, 2021 - Graduating Senior accepting his new pair of combat training boots. Presented

by VFW member, Guy Holden, Post 7523, Mineola TX.

VFW Post 7523, member Guy Holden, presenting this graduating senior from Mineola High

school with a new pair of combat training boots. Student joined the Air Force with an MOS of

Pararescue and will be shipping out soon to start his basic training. The boots were given to

him to help assist him in his pre-boot camp training, instead of the old tennis shoes he had

been running in.


Golden Anniversary Award

April 21, 2021 - Wood County VFW Post 7523 received a Golden Anniversary Award during their monthly

meeting on April 21, 2021. The award was presented by District 12 Commander Larry D. Levy to Post

Commander Benjamin Coughlin and members present at the meeting. The award recognizes the outstanding

contributions to the welfare of our nation and its disabled veterans during 50 years of dedication to the high

ideals of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The Post mustered May 25, 1971. The award was signed by national

VFW Commander-in-Chief Hal Roesch II and Adjutant General Kevin Jones.
