What is a Administrative Fellowship?• Administrative Fellowship is a program that provides

future healthcare executives with opportunities to gain an in-depth understanding of hospital and clinic based healthcare operations in an fast pace environment. 

• Fellows systematically participate in rotations throughout the health system learning each department.

• Fellows are given the opportunity to take part in hands-on, operationally focused projects and participate in various leadership activities that nurture professional growth. 

• Fellows are personally mentored and molded by senior hospital leadership. Preceptors for the program typically include the hopsitals: CEO, CFO, and COO etc.

• Day 2• 3-5 panel interviews (30 minutes each)

MY ADVICE

• Relax and enjoy the moment

• This interview is more about cultural fit

• Evaluate this hospital is right for you

• Do your research and continue reading current events

• Research the interviewees background

• Ask a lot of questions during the interview

• Dress business professional

My Advice • Set reliable academic and professional goals from Day 1.

• Find students who have similar goals and work together.

• Build your Resume: Internships, entry level jobs, volunteering and community service.

• Don’t be afraid to do your internship outside of Orlando or Florida

• Expand your network: Join ACHE, UPD, GHN.

• Get to know your Faculty and Professors!!!!!

• Reach out to the current Fellows for hospitals you have interest in.

• Compile a list of all Fellowship programs 3-4 months before application period opens up.

• Start preparing your applications 2 months in advance

• Don’t be afraid of rejection: The entire process is a hit or miss.
