RegistrationRegister for kids’ programs from Wednesday, August 19 and for adult programs from August 20. All registration opens at 7:00am.

Visit wellnessinstitute.ca, call 204-632-3900 or stop by our Front Desk at 1075 Leila Avenue to register, unless other details are given.

To make registration easier, this guide includes links. Click on an icon next to a heading to go directly to a category of programs online. Click on a code to go directly to the program you want to register for or enter a code in "Advance Search" once you've logged in. If no code appears for a program, online registration is not available.

Programs require registration and are held at the Wellness Institute unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to applicable taxes. Paid parking available.

Refunds will be issued up to one week prior to the program start date and are subject to a $25 administration fee.

Self-Management for Chronic ConditionsUpon completing the following programs, participants who wish to continue to exercise with us can sign up for membership with no enrollment fee (a $95 value).

Lean, Keen, Kidney Machines! A supervised exercise program for people living with chronic kidney disease, including Renal Health Clinic patients and those on hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysys. Stroke & NeuroFit Exercise ProgramA supervised exercise program to help people recovering from stroke and managing other neurological conditions (wpost-rehab) including MS, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, dystonia, Parkinson's disease, post-polio syndrome and Huntington's disease. Diabetes Exercise ProgramHelps those living with diabetes to improve energy levels, glucose tolerance and overall health through exercise and self-management strategies to reduce the risks associated with the progression of the disease. MFC Active Older Adult CertificationCertified Aqua, Group or Resistance Instructors can expand their knowledge to teach the fast growing older adult demographic. Understand the physiological, biological and social changes affecting older adults. Learn to apply principles that will both motivate and teach them to develop strength, balance and coordination to improve their activities of daily living (ADLs).

This course includes an at-home/distance education component which must be completed prior to attending the in-class session.

SELF-CARE & PERSONAL DEVELOPMENTMindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)Discover an approach to self-care that can help manage stress, pain and illness. Through the practice, a person can explore their mind/body connection, learn to mobilize their psychological resources and find greater balance for fuller participation in life.

Losing WeightUpon completing these weight loss programs, participants who wish to continue to exercise at the Wellness Institute can sign up for membership with no enrollment fee ($95 value).

Weight Management and Lifestyle ProgramThis program will guide you to make lasting lifestyle changes. You’ll be backed up with one-on-one coaching from our weight loss experts who will help you build a plan and keep you motivated to stick to your weight loss goal. The program is based on medical research studies and sees average loss of 5-7% of body weight by week 24.

Pick up an Exercise Schedule or visit our website for a full range of classes, from yoga to TRX and spinning to our exclusive ViPR group classes. These classes are free to members and many are open to drop-in guests.
