Program(s)/ools:Photoshop

Objectives:Learn how to effectively use photoshop to merge separate pictures andtext into one image.

Process:First, I ound a background. Space provides a nice dream-likeatmosphere, so I chose that or a background, and added a large copyo it to the Photoshop project. I used the clone stamp tool to fill inparts o it that needed more stars. I then ound the old man on google.

He looked wise, so I added him. I used the brush to brush away theparts o the old man and the sheep that I didnt want. I added a grainfilter to him. I then added the text, and lined everything up to how Iwanted it to be.

Logo

Description:Tis is a logo I designed or a company, H&H.

Date:Novenber 2nd, 2013


Program(s)/ools:Adobe Illustrator

Objectives:Learn how to effectively use Adobe Illustrator to create a logo to beused or a company.

Process:I created an image out o two Hs, and merged them together tocreate the HH. I then created the squiggly in the background. Tesecondary color is what made it look like it was highlighted with acloud.

Letterhead

Description:A riend o mine and I once created a company painting sidewalknumbers or houses. Tat company was called H&H (his last namealso started with H.) Someday, we plan to do something differentwith H&H. Well see what happens there.

Date:November 9th, 2013



Objectives:Learn how to use Adobe Illustrator to create a logo, and use it in apractical way.

Process:I took the logo I created, and put it in the top corner. I then created alone at the bottom, and textured it to fit the theme o the logo. Icreated another image similar to the background o the logo, and

placed it at the bottom as a watermark. I then put my inormation inat the bottom, lined up with the logo and the line.

Process:Created using Adobe Illustrator. I rasterized two Hs, and mergedthem together to create the HH. I then created the squiggly in thebackground. Te secondary color is what made it look like it washighlighted with a cloud.

Brochure

Description:Tis is a brochure or a company called H&H Quality SidewalkPainting.

Date:December 7th, 2013


Program(s)/ools:Adobe InDesign

Objectives:Learn how to create a brochure or a potential client or company usingAdobe InDesign.

Process:First, I had to set up the Adobe Indesign Project. I made two pages,and set up the rulers, so I knew where the old was going to be. It tooka while to align the paragraphs so it looked nice. I then ound a ewexample pictures o address paintings, and placed them on the back.

Te last part was the fire man. I used photoshop to cut him out ohis original image, and paste the image into Indesign. Under contouroptions, I selected alpha channel, which made the surrounding textwrap around him.

Objectives:Sometimes, a job will not have access to expensive adobe programs oryou to work with. In that case, you have to work with what you have.

In this scenario, I decided to use Microsof Word to design an eventadvertisement.

Process:First, I had to set up the Word document. I past-ed the image in the approximate location I wanted itto be. I created text boxes or where I wanted the text

Description:Tis is a web page created to explain the process and reasoning behindwhy I made my logo the way I did.

Objectives:I learned the basics o CSS and HML, and learned how to usePhotoshop to find the exact code o a particular color.

Process:Tis was one o the more difficult things we did this semester. Ifirst had to learn how to use both html and CSS. Tis took a ewdays. Once I had a good grasp on the basics o each, I then usedthe html template we were given, and filled in the body o the site.I also connected it to the CSS page, which I used to ormat the di-erent elements o the html. I had to learn how to indent the htmlproperly, as well as know where certain lines o code should bewithin the document. I one thing is wrong, it could throw ev-

erything else off. It was rustrating, but in the end, it worked!

Objectives:Tis project helped me get experience in using the rule o thirds inphotography, and how to effectively edit a picture in photoshop. I

learned many o the different important unctions in photoshop in theprocess, such as the array o selection options available. I also learnedhow to apply filters to select parts o the image.

Process:I took a picture o the tree behind my work. I put it on the com-puter. I opened it in photoshop. I cropped the part o the im-age I wanted to work with. I used the color grabbing tool tograb the yellow. I applied the accented edges filter. I then used

the quick select tool to grab the building, and desaturated
