P4:MontageDescription: You are never lost when you see the temple. The temple is always in your sights. Process (4-5 sentences): I blended a quote from Gary Steveson into the picture. I made it so it would fit into the picture. Then I wrote about how the temple is always in our sights no matter what. I also then put where the temple is located.

P1: Flier Description: Flier for the Capoeira workshops on campus. Programs used: Adobe Indesign Date: October 3,2015 Course # & Section: COMM 130 Section 7 Instructor name: Brother Pringel Objective (see project page): Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography. Incorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic flier layout. Retrieve image and logo from links on this page. Create a project folder with image, logo and InDesign document to keep links in InDesign intact.

Process (4-5 sentences): I choose kinda a black and grey color scheme. I put the picture in the middle because I thought it would stand out. I put the BYUI logo at the bottom so it would kinda fit with the design. I thought the dark theme would fit with the style of the design.

The East Idaho Nature center is having a desert party Programs used:Word Date: October 10,2015 Course # & Section: COMM 130 Section 7 Instructor name: Brother Pringel Objective (see project page): Comprehend image sizing (how pixels and inches work together) Find, scan and import a high-quality image. Create a full-bleed design. Choose a color scheme and typeface(s) that work for your message and audience. Learn to use only Word design features without using any Adobe programs, in-cluding Photoshop.

Process (4-5 sentences): I scanned the image on my laptop and then put it on the document. After that I put the title above and then created the text box. I typed in the words and tried to make it look nice. After that I put in the border of the docu-ment and the color to it.

P3: Photodesign Description: Photo of the Rexburg, Idaho temple with saying that the strength of the temple is key and when the temple is open. Programs used: Photoshop Date: October 17,2015 Course # & Section: COMM 130 Section 7 Instructor name: Brother Pringel

Objective (see project page): Process (4-5 sentences): I took the picture of the temple with my friends camera. Then I put in the photoshop and thought of what to do. I added that the strength of the temple is key becayse it is, Then I added the blue of when the temple was open because that is vital information.

P5: Logos Description: Three logos for a company Programs used: Illustrator Date: October 23,2015 Course # & Section: COMM 130 Section 7 Instructor name: Brother Pringel Objective (see project page): Create three completely different, original logos to fit a company or personal image that will appeal to the audience. Do not imitate existing logos or use previous de-signs. Market research: gather opinions from at least ten people about which logo ap-peals most to them. Use only the Illustrator tools to create and draw your logos. (No Illustrator pre-fabricated flares, symbols, etc.. No photos or live-tracing. You may use an image or drawing as a guide to trace it with the pen/pencil, but delete the image before submitting.) Refine one logo with variations for color

Process (4-5 sentences): This was the project I redid. I first did two stars as the first two logos. Then I thought a polygon would work because of the variety of shapes. After I did the shapes I put in the text.

P6: Brochure Description: Brochure of the Capital of Alaska Programs used: Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign Date: December 1, 2015 Course # & Section: COMM 130 Section 7 Instructor name: Brother Pringel Objective (see project page): Set up and align a two-sided, folded document. Create an original, new logo and use it in a brochure. Incorporate quality images. Incorporate at least four quality images, not including the logo. One should be clipped in Photoshop and text-wrapped in InDesign so the text follows the cutout shape of the image. Write at least 250 words of original copy in at least three paragraphs, headers, and subheaders. Trim for a full bleed and print in duplex (two-sided) color.

Process (4-5 sentences): I thought of picking something about Alaska because of my best friend and he is from Alaska. I thought of doing the capital because no one would know. I researched a bunch of information . Then I made the brochure.

Create a new logo to fit a company or personal image. Do not imitate existing logos or use previous designs. Don’t use photos or live trace. Let-terhead should be 8.5 x 11, full-bleed optional, but trim only .125. Business card should be 3.5 x 2 and printed above center on a vertical page. Apply typography rules, keeping small copy. Keep designs simple with light watermarks and drop shadows and plenty of white space. Include contact information: name, address, phone, website, and email on each piece. Use periods, bullets, or spaces in phone number; no parentheses/ hyphens.

Process (4-5 sentences): I kinda based my design off of an example. I put the logo on the left and all the information on the right. I put my name in bold to make a statement. I put the rest of the information on the under my name to make them look at the entire paper.

Process (4-5 sentences): Iused the logo from the stationery to put on the buisness card. Then I kinda spilt the card in half to make it a little cooler. I put on half of the information on the top and then the other half on the bottom. It brings out the card a little bit more.

P7: Web Design Description: Programs used: HTML/CSS Date: November 21,2015 Course # & Section: COMM 130 Section 7 Instructor name: Brother Pringel Objective (see project page): Project ObjectivesSize and optimize an original logo as a .png for a web page so the long side is 300 – 500 pixels. Write content to describe the process of creating your logo and how it appeals to a target audience. (Minimum of 200 words. Include rationale for colors, appeal to target audience, design skills, etc,) Acquire a working knowledge of HTML. (Include all required tags – Doctype (provided), html, head, title, meta charset (provided), body, h1, h2, p, ol or ul (with li tags), img, br, and a link to blog) Acquire a working knowledge of CSS. (Customize the provided CSS provided to format the HTML to complement the logo design. Change at least the following: The h1 text color & h1 background color, font colors for the paragraphs & list items, the background color, font families and add at least one css comment.) Identify hex colors to match logo, using Photoshop color picker. Open the HTML page in a web browser and capture a quality screen shot with .5

inch margins for printing. Process (4-5 sentences): I hada lot of trouble with this project. I got fustrated with HTMl and how it fit with CSS. I wrote up the type for it and then put it in. I tried to make sure all my links were working and fucntioning.
