This type of pencil sharpener allows parents and children to sharpen pencil together. Insert a pencil on both sides, turn the handle and pull together, more sharpened will cause pencil shorter and closer. When children hold the sharpened pencil in their hand which completed together with her parents, will let the children felt a great achievement.

With the increased proportion of “mobile shopping groups”, network information is being mated gradually with physical stores. If a large amount of network information can be displayed on a physical store directly, how many possibilities would be generated? Would a new shopping evolution be formed?

At first, the rating of consumers for a commodity (number of clicked “Like”) can be displayed on an increasingly popular electronic shelf label directly in a supermarket to determine shopping decisions of con-sumers sufficiently. For example, consumers can under which brand is the most popular one in front of a shelf of various sport drinks.

Further, every consumer may have a “personal account” as network shopping in a physical store, recording every shopping record, shop-ping rating, and event personal preference. A consumer can view his own shopping record and plan a shopping list before shopping.

Moreover, as shopping in a physical store, not only immediate rating from netizens for a commodity can be seen on a shelf label, but also the personal account can locate current location of the consumer immediately through network connection, and remind the consumer to note commodities according to the personal favorite. (Near-Buy Corporation has already announced related technical papers.)

Subsequently, as the consumer is checking out, both shopping record and receipt are uploaded to the personal account immediately for the consumer to rate the commodity according to the shopping record (some shopping feedbacks are obtainable by rating the com-modity), while the rating may also be integrated onto cloud and displayed on the electronic shelf label finally.

The figure above shows a logo designed by app of the personal account. As consumers hold mobile phones in comparing prices, it looks like they are searching for directions in a large mall with com-pass, while this app can support them to make decisions. The colorful shadow of the pointer indicates a colorful commodity world, while the deep gray texts with interleaved bold and light faces desire to create an elegant and intelligent shopping image.

Note: The supermarket under simulation is Matsusei.

According to this app, I envision that the marketing skill for electronic papers or paper advertising pamphlets in the future supermarket might be based on regional hot commodities, such that customers are notified of hot commodities and shopping availability in that store.

Therefore, two advertisements are simulated. One is the electronic paper shown in the figure above; and the other is a paper advertising pamphlet shown in the right figure, which front side showing currently hot commodities all over the world, and which rear side is a layout arranging the rating number and price in parallel.

Finally, I design a poster, which simulates the cover and layout of “The Economist”, a foreign magazine, which subject shows “My shop is peeping me – A new trend of mobile shopping”. This issue introduc-es this app and reflects on the impact of such a system on the future consumption model.

The Cradle to Cradle Design Concept 18

This is a printer focused on recycling. The housing is made of recycled plastics, and individual parts may be disassembled for replacement and recycled. In addition, a rail space as the cartridge is idled is changed as a folding mechanism for the total volume to be reduced by 30%. Light packaging is employed for sale, too.

The printer is a product with a short life cycle. According to “Cradle to Cradle”, the “waste” sense would disappear as long as the recycling system for all resources is considered in the initial design phase for resources to run in natural and industrial circulations. Accordingly, with respect to materials of the printer, decomposable materials are chosen for consumable items, non-consumable items may be recycled and reused for manufacturing, parts may be disassembled quickly, or mutual compliance is available.

Easy Disassembling and Replacement for Components

Parts related to this model of printer are available in the original store which sells it. The entire printer will no longer be abandoned due to partial damaged parts.

Recycle Plan for Hardware Equipment

Recycle services are provided for various different types of customers. Responsibility toward the environment by its environmental protection activity is guaranteed through implementation of multi-stage recycle process. Computer hardware equipment, which is no longer necessary, is deliv-ered to designated recycle service centers.

Page 21: PORTFOLIO 2012-14

For modeling, plate is used to simulate folding mechanism, followed by remanufacturing with laser cutting dense plate. The internal mechanism in conjunction with modified recycled printer parts, in addition to springs, simulates the automatic turning up action of the paper feeder.

For interface settings, the prompt for front indicator is visible after power on upon connection to the computer through Wi-Fi network without excessive connection wires.

If everyone needs a pair of smart glasses, what would the “glasses” look like?

Like a glasses tailor, Eye Tailor combines 3D scan technology to plan your dedicated glasses precisely. With AR (Augmented Reality) inductive frame, your own appearance when wearing the virtual glasses is visible immediately. As such, selection of glasses is not simply to choose style. The glasses have become unique objects for everyone.

This is an instrument with a two-leg standing profile placed on the count in an optician. The action wearing the inductive frame can correspond to tentative wearing behavior – looking left and right in front of a mirror. The glasses simulated by Eye Tailor are shown in an AR manner through the inductive frame, so that the operator can percept glasses wearing appearance immediately.

The rear portion of the screen may charge the inductive frame. The inductive frame is absorbed and retained magnetically in a “wireless charging” manner. The aperture on the back keeps on flashing in charging. There is a maintenance interlayer on the back of the machine for feeding document scroll, replenishing printing ink or maintaining the machine.

23

Page 25: PORTFOLIO 2012-14

The model is laser cut with a dense plate roughly. The curve portion on the back is a 3D modeled RP formation. The corner is filled with ABS plate, followed by generating a gradient surface through cutting and grinding. Because of future design, there is much effort done in adjusting detailed lines for the machine to look not that cumbersome.
