Covers similar topics as the classes below, but more in depth. The riding component aims to make one comfortable with group riding. This class would be consid- ered for the moderate rider. Experience coming in to the class is not required but it is recommended. Dates: Monday-Friday, July 11-15 Location: Schweiker Park in Hatfield Township Ages: 7-13 years Times: 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Cost: $289 Petite Equestrian Program Includes an exciting riding component; learning how to properly mount, dismount, hold the reins and control the horse/pony at a walk and a few steps of trot. This is a great program for the young horse-lover who is looking to learn the beginning stages of riding a horse. Dates: Monday-Friday, July 11-15 Location: Parkside Place in Upper Gwynedd Township Ages: 3-7 years Times: 4:00-5:00 p.m. Cost: $179 Pony Grooming & Riding Program An introduction to the world of ponies. Topics include: safety, anatomy, grooming, the tack and harness, English and western styles and careers in the industry. Dates: Monday-Friday, August 1-5 Location: William F. Maule Park at Windlestrae Ages: 7-11 years Times: 4:30-6:00 p.m. Cost: $209
