The POLYTECHNIK company is one of the most important providers of air and heating technology plants and is known for the planning and production of turnkey plants.The POLYTECHNIK Group has 130 employees and in addition to the main works in Weissenbach/Triest-ing (Austria) also has branches in Hungary, Poland, France, Rumania and Russia. Exports of the POLY-TECHNIK Group currently run at about 80% and more than 2200 POLYTECHNIK plants are in operation throughout the world.

POLYTECHNIK supplies fi ring plants for biogenic fuels in the power range of 200 kW – 20,000 kW (individual boiler power). Various fi ring systems (hydraulic grate fi ring systems or underfeed grate units) are used, depending on the type and water content of the fuel.

Warm water, hot water, steam or thermo-oil are used as heat carriers.

The plants can be used for heating and process heat as well as for power production (steam with turbine or thermo-oil using the ORC process). The power range covers 200 kWel – 5000 kWel electrical power (current).

BIOMASS – the eternally renewable and natural fuel in the solar energy store – wood!

In times of increasingly higher energy prices and diminishing oil and gas reserves, alternative energies are becoming increasingly important. What is more obvious than using resources which are available in abundance and rapidly regenerate to produce energy. This form of energy provides one of the most environmentally-friendly energy supplies. The CO2 released during the burning of wood is converted back into oxygen during the growth of plants.

As a result of the special design arrangement and steering of the combustion chamber, it is now possible to use not only wood but also agricultural products and all biomass for low-emission energy production.

The fully automatic control and regulation of the complete biomass fi ring plant is implemented by PLC (programmable logic control-ler) using a special program developed by POLYTECHNIK.

With our visualisation and regulation software you receive all the data relevant to the installation conveniently in overview and can interact with the control and regulation system at any time on site or by remote maintenance.

An integrated oxygen and power regulating system allows a PLC to project infl uences of oxy-gen, fi ring room temperature, recirculation, fl ue gas temperature, combustion air temperature, quantity of material, material humidity, fl ow and return temperature and withdrawal of indi-vidual consumers (network) in the fully automatic control and regulating system and process them into command signals.

The heating operation functions fully automatically, from the introduction of the biomass, con-trol and regulation of combustion and dust removal to control of the pumps.

As a result of this type of visualisation, it is not only possible to save to the screen or memory but all the parameters can be modifi ed and the desired values adjusted at any time using a PC and a modem.
