Poly Tubing: Highly Useful For Transporting Liquid Products
Poly Tubing is one of the best packaging products for
transporting air, water and chemicals. Polytubing is basically a
flexible piping made of polyethylene. These pipes find usage in
laboratories,
drinking water transportation, drip irrigation etc. There are
two categories of poly tubing: highand low density, each meant to
serve different manner of requirements. Low density poly tubing
is primarily used for drinking water transportation, and high
density poly tubing is used inscientific labs for transporting
liquid products, but not very strong chemicals like acids.

high durability. That is why these are used in
laboratories to assist different scientific applications and
tastings.
Low density poly tubing is manufactured used low density
polyethylene (LDPE) that weighsbetween 0.91 and 0.94 grams per
cubic centimeter (0.0814 Oz and 0.0839 Oz per cubic inch).These
pipings made of LDPE are highly flexible, bears strong resistance
against cracks and can
be used in a wide range of temperatures. These categories of
poly tubing are industriallyapproved to be used for the
transportation of potable water and other such
food handling applications.
Poly tubing made of High density polyethylene (HDPE) weighs
between0.941 grams per cubic centimeter (0.084 Oz per cubic inch).
These tubing are
not as flexible as LDPE, but it stands up to sterilization by
boiling. Being a
sterilized product, this category of tubing is especially used
for food handlingapplications. Moreover, this poly tubing has high
resistance against corrosive chemicals ascompared to LDPE; this
makes these more suitable for scientific applications in
laboratories.
