Tradition in motion. Seminar on the transmission of local musical traditions. The Mały Kolberg program has been implemented in Poland since 2014 and its main goal is to

introduce children traditional culture through music, dance and games. The patron of the program is the nineteenth-century ethnographer Oskar Kolberg, thanks to whom

Poles now have over 80 volumes of descriptions of old folk customs. At the seminar, we will present how we realize the postulate of protection of the intangible cultural heritage and how we understand its value in building family, local and national

The Malbork Castle exhibition (Poland) was prepared to be presented at the Euro parliament building in Brussels, Belgium It consists of 28 boards with beautiful photos and short comments about the format 120 x 90 and 7 boards that form the panorama

of the castle. The castle is a classic example of a medieval fortress and, on its completion in 1406, was the world's largest brick castle. The UNESCO designated the "Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork" and the Malbork Castle Museum a World

This talk will examine the British response to the fighting that took place on Polish soil between 1914 and 1923. It will focus on the various diplomatic initiatives involving

Poland that occurred during the First World War; the influence of the famous historian Lewis Namier on British policy towards Poland during this period; British attitudes

towards the discussion of the Polish Question at the Versailles conference in 1919; the Polish-Soviet War of 1919-21, and the other border disputes that affected Poland – All being influenced by the simultaneous demand for the application of similar principles

to Ireland. The talk will be illustrated with reproductions of the original documents used by British

Ministers during their discussion of Polish affairs.’ This talk will be presented by Mr. Gabriel Doherty, a lecturer in the School of History, University College Cork, whose research interests include the history of Irish-Polish

relations.

The Gala Final of the XI. Edition of IFSS Oddalenia will take place on 15 June 2019 in the Polish House . Over the years the festival has changed a lot, yet the objectives we

pursue remained the same: to connect people and countries on the short film ground. The first and foremost ambition of the festival is to integrate the community of film-makers, producers, directors and artists beyond the state borders. Even though it is Polish Social and Cultural Association in Dublin, who has created ISFF Oddalenia, the festival participants will be able to see films from various countries at the Final Gala.

The idea of the Festival is the promotion of Polish artists and Polish productions, especially the shorts, amongst the English-speaking broad publicity. The International

Short Film Festival ODDALENIA collaborates with the other film events in Ireland. Productions awarded at ISFF Oddalenia had been presented at the Richard Harris

International Film Festival in Limerick. The XI ISFF Oddalenia 2019 is partially financed with the Polish Diaspora Funds granted

by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland
