will be inserted into the Metal Mounting Pole).

The remaining 8 inches of the Wooden Bracket will be attached to the center

of the back of your bird house.

Drill a hole into the Metal Mounting Pole and secure the Wooden Bracket (if

you do not do this, the bird house might spin in wind). Secure the Metal

Mounting Pole into the ground using cement.

I. Before You Begin

Thank you for purchasing a P&S Country Crafts bird house!

This booklet will provide you with instructions on how to mount your bird

house to a tree/Wooden Post or to a Metal Mounting Pole. These are the best

mounting options for a successful bird house because it provides the

greatest protection from predators.

II. Required Items

III. Positioning & Tips

The location of your bird house is extremely important for it to function as

intended. Key recommendations include:

The entrance should face away from the tree line.

Bird houses should be 5 to 20 feet off the ground.

If using a Metal Mounting Pole, do not use a pole taller than 10 feet as

the bird house may sway during any winds. A Wooden 4 x 4 Post will

not sway in the wind.

When drilling holes, make sure the screws do not go all the way into the

bird house. This could be harmful to the birds.

Pole Mounting Items (not included)

1. 5-20 foot Wooden 4 x 4 Post

- OR -

5-10 foot Metal Mounting Pole (1-2 inches in diameter)

2. 12 inch Wooden Bracket

3. Cement

Enclosed Items

1. Bird House

2. Straight Bracket (1)

3. 1½ inch screw (2)

4. 2½ inch screw (2)

IV. Tree/Wooden Post Mounting Instructions

Using the 1½ inch screws, attach the straight bracket to the back of the bird

house (be sure to center it at the top). Then use the 2½ inch screws to attach

the Straight Bracket/bird house to a tree or Wooden 4 x 4 Post. If using a

Wooden 4 x 4 Post, secure with cement.

V. Metal Mounting Pole Instructions

Take a piece of wood (this will be your Wooden Bracket) and cut it down to

12 x 1 x 1 inches, or 12 x 1 x 2 inches, depending on the diameter of your

Metal Mounting Pole. (continued on next page)
