Poem in environment
Poem about NatureA peaceful time with nature can never be forgotten, you can never be lonely when
nature is around you. It can be felt by sights and sounds. This poem tells you what a
wonderful life this is, with nature. At The Mountainside

fresh breeze and snowcapped peaks
sky inked with pale blue
the water at the lake is crystal clear
the green grass, cows silently chew
the little girl at the lowest hill
is seen plucking flowers
red, blue, yellow and purpleall seem to have some kind of power
the clouds are moving at snail's pace
and all seems so quite and peaceful
everything is so mesmerizing
that away from it you cannot be pulled

Beauty of Nature PoemAs a child I used to visit Frittenden in Kent for my summer holidays hop
picking on a farm called little wadd these are just some of my memoriesThe Countryside

Deep into the wood where the Bluebells grow
Next to them the wild garlic will show
An old oak creeks with a century of age
With brand new shoots and the sun they crave
A crystal clear brook where the Sticklebacks nest
Flows into a stream where the bull rushes rest
The Swifts swoop down like dive bombing planes
In a field of mown hay set in country lanes
In the distance a Wood Pigeon coos
And the rest of the birds also voice their views
Beneath this sun filled clear blue sky

Hear the distinctive sound of a Pheasant cry
As dusk sets in with moon rising higher
far away glows a farmers pyre
Soon to come the majestic Bat
Skillfully collecting Moth and GnatThese are the delights that the countryside brings
Peaceful bliss as the Nightjar singsa)

LIFE’S ABOUT THE ADJECTIVES
Life’s about the adjectives,
it’s how we know the world.
Nouns, you see, are only names,
with adjectives - life is knurled.
Think about the apple,
just fruit upon the tree,
red ripe skin with tasty pulp,
better lets us see.
Providing us the texture,
of color if you will,
ADJ allows us space,
to give our lines the fill.
Life’s about the adjectives,
spice for the written line,
Verbs, you see, are motion,
and index things like time.
Think about the race car,
going around the lane,
zipping fast with lightning speed,
better feeds the brain.

Providing us the feeling,
of nature if you will,
ADJ gives the taste,
to writings we distill.
Verbs contain the action,
and nouns have the heart,
adjectives add the flavor,
for cooks of written art.
Life’s about the adjectives,
how else could it be,that words paint the pigments,
in poems for us to see?

A Prayer in Spring
Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers to-day;
And give us not to think so far away

As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.
Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.
And make us happy in the darting bird
That suddenly above the bees is heard,
The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid air stands still.
For this is love and nothing else is love,
The which it is reserved for God above
To sanctify to what far ends He will,
But which it only needs that we fulfill.
Robert Frost
Desert Places
Snow falling and night falling fast, oh, fast
In a field I looked into going past,
And the ground almost covered smooth in snow,
But a few weeds and stubble showing last.
The woods around it have it - it is theirs.
All animals are smothered in their lairs.
I am too absent-spirited to count;
The loneliness includes me unawares.
And lonely as it is, that loneliness
Will be more lonely ere it will be less -
A blanker whiteness of benighted snow
With no expression, nothing to express.
They cannot scare me with their empty spacesBetween stars - on stars where no human race is.
I have it in me so much nearer home
To scare myself with my own desert places.
Robert Frost

Daffodils
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but theyOut-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed--and gazed--but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
William Wordsworth
