OUR STUDIO IS A CREATIVE PLACE WHERE WE SOLVE PROBLEMS AND DEVELOP INNOVATIVE DESIGNS. WE SPECIALISE IN COMMERCIAL PROJECTS AND LISTEN TO OUR CLIENTS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR BUSINESS OBJECTIVES. OUR WORK RANGES FROM IDENTIFYING OPPORTUNITIES AND GROWING PROJECTS WITH CLIENTS TO PRODUCING CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION AND COMPLETING PROJECTS ON SITE. THIS RANGE REQUIRES THE SKILLS OF MANY PEOPLE IN OUR TEAM WHO SPECIALISE IN DESIGN AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION. WE WORK ON PROJECTS ACROSS THE UK AND OVERSEAS AND HAVE EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN LEADING DESIGN TEAMS. OUR CLIENTS ARE BOTH FIRST TIME AND ESTABLISHED DEVELOPERS WHO NEED NEW THINKING AND CONTEMPORARY DESIGN SOLUTIONS TO PRODUCE HIGH QUALITY ARCHITECTURE. Spurstowe Terrace, Hackney, London Charles Bentley UK LTD

The scheme achieved planning permission in 2014 and delivers a mixed use residential and commercial development of 24 units with 4 penthouse flats and 2 offices at ground floor. The project involves demolition of a 1970s training building and the complicated planning process dealt with overlooking, light and massing issues to achieve a successful design to compliment the area.

Bakersfield, KentMcCulloch Homes

Bakersfield, situated in Rainham, Kent, consists of an 80 unit masterplan. Pod Architects designed a community scheme which accommodates public spaces and existing community structures. The scheme had a complex planning process, for this green belt, edge of town, site.Pod paid particular attention when designing the masterplan which provided generous public and private spaces and a layout which accommodated good natural light within the dwellings.

Funton Brickworks, Lower Halstow, KentNightingale Homes Estate

Pod Architects were appointed to design the masterplan for this residential project on a sensitive disused brick work site at the edge of the river Medway. Pod[ designed a masterplan to create a small residential complex which incorporates the existing features of the site, such as the brick chimneys and kilns and used traditional Funton brick to create a place of historical interest. The site also contains an outward bound centre which provides access to a reptile sanctuary.

Conyer Creek, Conyer, KentIPMM SIPP Ltd

Conyer Creek is situated at the edge of a wildlife sanctuary and marina in Kent. Pod Architects designed this exclusive 24 unit new residential development which commands spectacular natural views within this SSSI landscape.

Fetter Lane, Holborn, LondonTIAA Henderson Real Estate

TIAA Henderson Real Estate appointed Pod Architects to redevelop an existing six floor office building in the heart of the legal sector of London. The design provides 20 new exclusive apartments and re-configures a more efficient office space for this existing building.

Grove Park, Camberwell, LondonPrivate Client

Situated in a conservation area, this 4-bedroom property at Grove Park was completely refurbished into a high quality family home, including a new state of the art gym, wine cellar, a new landscaped garden and enlarged garage. Pod oversaw the design and construction from start to completion.

Lordswood Urban Extension, Chatham, Kent IPM SIPP LtdLordswood Urban Extension is a unique development, contained on a site surrounded by ancient woodland. Pod Architects created a development which embraced the rural settings of the site and developed an 89 unit Eco home masterplan. This contained an ecosystem woodland furnace and is designed to be constructed from sustainable materials.

Ark Lane, Deal, Kent EDSR

Pod Architects were asked to design the initial concept of a new 20-unit residential masterplan in the conservation area of Deal, Kent, which included the provision of 5 artist studios for the local community. The issues of a flood-prone site and delicate inner town context were accommodated within this masterplan.

Bunhill Row, Shoreditch, London Honorable Artillery Company

Pod Architects were appointed to design the extension and additional mansard to these heritage listed five storey townhouse buildings. This involved removing the existing roofs, raising the chimney stacks and party walls and forming new mansard roofs with dormer windows. Due to the context and the listing of the building, the materials and design is traditional to match the adjacent buildings.

Sotheby Road, Islington, LondonPrivate Client

Pod Architects completed this residential project in North London in December 2011.The building was extended, refurbished and detailed to a high specification and was completed on time to a tight programme.

Hemingford Road, Islington, LondonPrivate Client

Pod Architects were appointed for the refurbishment and extension of a large terraced house in Islington, London. The works include a large garden level playroom and terrace to the rear of the property. The project was complete in summer 2014.

Idminston, West Norwood, London Private Client

Bruton SomersetPrivate Client

Pod Architects were appointed to design this residential development from a derelict former coach house in a small village in Somerset. The building was refurbished and modified and completed in 2010. The interior was re-planned and the bespoke timber interior is now a three bedroom family home.

Pod Architects was appointed to design this refurbishment of this West Norwood, London extension of a large Victorian villa. The rear of the property is modelled to open up to the garden.
