Natural Family Planning Classes A three se-ries class of Natural Family Planning—SymptoPro Fertility Education—will be offered here at St. Anthony’s Thursday evenings at 7pm. Session dates are September 9th& 23rd and October 7th in the parish Education Building on Ashe Street. SymptoPro a SymptoThermal method of natural family planning, teaches a couple how to achieve or avoid pregnancy based on the particular wom-an's natural fertility biomarkers. Founded on re-search, inspired by Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body, this method will also assist non-married ladies to understand their cycle. "Regular cycles" are not required because you will learn how to interpret your cycle each month as it un-folds. This is NOT the 'Calendar Method.' Cost of the class is $120 which includes: materi-als, 3 class sessions, and 6 months of guided fol-low-up with qualified instructors. Class size is limited. Email/text Jessica Risma if interested: [email protected]; 404-694-1405.

We Care Ministry On Hold—Seeking New Coordinator—Not Accepting Donations

New Coordinator Needed For more than 25 years St. Anthony’s We Care Ministry has assisted countless single parents and low income families in Moore county by delivering donated furniture and usable household items to make life a little better. The ministry is truly a labor of love. Brenda Stroker and Anita Monk have given countless hours toward the mission of helping others and they are ready to step down. After much thought and prayer Brenda feels the time has come for someone else to take the reins. If you feel God is leading you to keep this all volunteer ministry going and you have a heart for helping others, perhaps you would consider taking the lead in this ministry.

Not Accepting Donations In the past few months there is a lack of volunteers to handle pick ups and drop offs and the truck We Care used to deliver donations finally wore out. For this reason, the ministry is on hold and is not accepting dona-tions until further notice. Fresh volunteers are needed in order for We Care to continue. If this ministry interests you please contact Diana Wake, [email protected] in the parish office or call her at 910-692-6613.

Special Collection to Aid Haiti September 19th

Bishop Zarama has asked us to take up a special collection to assist Haiti following the damaging earthquake last month. The people of Haiti are likely to see ongoing hardship in the weeks ahead as they begin recovery and rebuilding efforts. Moreover, many parish churches, chapels, schools, and clin-ics were devastated which will impact faith communities for years. Please give generously to the Haiti Emergency Disas-ter Fund.
