    Citizen input requested as City of Plano developsnew Comprehensive PlanThe City of Plano is in the process of updating its

    Comprehensive Plan, PLANO TOMORROW,and

    residents are being encouraged to attend a public

    meeting to lend input in the creation of this guide

    for the future. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 9 at the

    Tom Muehlenbeck Center beginning at 7:00p.m. The second session is

    scheduled for Tuesday, November 16 in the Plano Municipal Center at

    7:00p.m.

    PLANO TOMORROW will establish a vision for the citys future and serve as a

    guide for local decision-makers regarding the issues of land use,

    transportation, housing, infrastructure, and more. With valuable input from

    Plano citizens, the finished document will offer recommendations and provide

    goals to help lead the City for the next 20 years.

    The success of this update to the Comprehensive Plan hinges on feedback

    from the people whose quality of life will be greatly impacted the citizens of

    Plano!

    During the PLANO TOMORROW public meetings, brief presentations will be

    made about some planning issues impacting Plano and there will be breakout

    sessions where you can hear more details, and talk with staff and members of

    the Planning & Zoning Commission. In addition, Planning & Zoning workshops

    are open to the public and provide an opportunity to observe the Commission

    and Planning Department staff work through the drafts of the Comprehensive

    Plan document and discuss the issues affecting Plano. Future dates will be

    posted on the website in advance of these meetings.

    Besides the PLANO TOMORROW public meetings, residents will soon be able to

    share suggestions for the citys future using an online survey. The final phase of the

    project involves meetings with City Council and is another chance to take an active

    role in planning Planos future. Please attend one, or both of these meetings:
