NOTES
Once the push button unit has been pressed the Wig Wags will be activated totraffic using the above timings, once the horse rider has crossed the carriagewaythe push button unit can be pressed again to deactivate the Wag Wig signals.
A delay in the appearance of the amber signal may be necessary due to thedistance from the carriageway the push button units are, this would normally bein the range of, say, 5 to 35 seconds. This will be adjustable on site.

ConstructionCi Overhead electric cable (Western Power) at elevation in area
of proposed Horse Crossing (see drg 04272DD-207).
Operations
Oi All vegetation clearance works to be planned in conjunctionwith Western Power prior to commencement of clearance.Including method statement and detailed report
Oii Prior to excavation works in the vicinity of the BT cable (whichsupplies the main Hinkley sites) slit trenches shall be excavated by hand to positively locate this cable and CATscan.
Oiii Traffic Management shall incorporate a fully manned management and diversion of horse traffic through and alongside the works.
Oiv Water pipe to be located and marked prior to installing cablingfor wig wag signal, as will be in close proximity.
These notes are based on the use of experienced and competentcontractors carrying out the work using an approved safe method ofworking.
