• Commission Chair Yeoman is forming a Committee to study the potential creation of a Northwoods Overlay Zoning District (letter attached as appendix). The Committee would begin convening in April. Committee membership would consist of Planning Commissioners and community members living in the Northwoods area. The Committee will hold a public meeting to gather input from the community at-large.

Variance Request
Variance: Landscaped buffer in plan 10 ft minimum width
Variance request to reduce buffer requirements adjacent to single-family zoned property (the Hightower Elementary School). The buffer requirement for multifamily uses adjacent to single-family zoning is a minimum 20 ft width.
Fence design and landscape composition should align to the City of Doraville's Buffer and Screening Provisions, Chapter 23 Zoning, Article XI.
