Located about 10 miles northeast of Atlanta, Doraville is considered

a major nexus connecting the capitol city to the bustling outer suburbs. Known for its rich diversity, excellent cuisine and multi-modal transportation system, Doraville is rapidly becoming a cultural, commercial and residential juggernaut.

Founded in 1871 as a sleepy, agricultural community, Doraville has grown to become a major commercial force in DeKalb County. New retail businesses are opening their doors each year and as work begins to redevelop the former General Motors property into a huge mixed-use showcase named Assembly Doraville USA, other new and exciting opportunities are opening for residents and newcomers.

With over 56 different languages spoken here, a thriving International culture, bustling businesses and cozy forested historic neighborhoods, Doraville is a city that embraces progress and encourages prosperity.

Paul Murphy Boxing Club, founded in 1980, is one of the major boxing facilities in North Georgia. Boxing champion Evander Holyfi eld trained here early in his career.

Historic Northwoods neighborhood was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. It is one of only three remaining mid-century modern ranch-style planned unit developments in Georgia.

“Atlanta’s Northeastern Portal,” Doraville is convenient to I-85, I-285, Buford Highway, Peachtree Industrial and Shallowford Roads creating easy access to Atlanta, Lenox Mall and Perimeter Mall. The Doraville MARTA station is the fi nal stop on the Gold Line, DeKalb-Peachtree Airport is less than three miles away and Hartsfi eld–Jackson Atlanta International Airport is only a 30-minute drive.

Buford Highway is the Ethnic Cuisine Epicenter for the Atlanta area. Doraville is home to over 100 restaurants offering everything from Korean barbecue and Mongolian hot pot to Vietnamese sandwiches, Mexican classics and Brazilian steaks and much more.

Doraville Assembly, now under development, is the largest mixed-use transit-oriented project in the Southeastern United States. It will become a unique place for living, commerce, wellness and enrichment and contain Third Rail Studios, acres of green space, miles of biking and hiking trails and direct access to major freeways and MARTA.

Buford Highway Farmers Market is a 100,000 square-foot grocery megastore where shoppers fi nd unique and exotic produce, organic fruits and vegetables, and diverse meat and seafood from around the world.
