WrinklesinthecoveringDONOTaffectflightperformance. Removethecanopybeforeattemptingtouseheatonyourcovering!Thecanopy ismadeofthermoactivatedplasticandWILLdeformwiththeapplicationofheat.Donotapplyheattothecanopy.Ifyouneedtocleanyourairplane,werecommendusingadamptowel.Thepaintusedonthecanopyandcowlisnotsafeforallcleaners.Inparticular,DONOTusealcoholontheseparts,itwillremovethepaint.

    Step2.SaturateeachofthehingeswiththinCA.Makesuretoglueboththetopandbottom.

    Step3.Usethehingetoputtheaileroninposition.Useahobbyknifetosetthegapbetweenthecontrolsurfaceandthewing.Alsocheckthattheaileroncanmovefreelywithoutrubbingatthewingtip.

    Step4.Flextheaileronupanddownseveraltimestobreakintheaileronhinges.

    Step5.Repeatsteps1through4toinstalltheremainingaileron.

    Section2:AileronServo&ControlHornInstallationStep1.Locatetheitemsshowninthepicturebelow.(ServosandYHarnesssoldseparately).

    Step2.Removethecoveringfortheinboardservointhebottomofthewingasshown.

    Step3.Gluetheservomountingblockstotheservohatch.(Thelocationhasbeenmarked).

    Step4.Placeaileronservobetweenthemountingblocksandmounttheservototheblocks.(Pleasecentertheservoarmelectronicallybeforemounting).

    Step5.Usetwoselftappingscrewstosecuretheblockswontloose.

    Step6.Tieawheelcollarontoapieceofstring.Dropthewheelcollarintothewingfromtherootandretrieveitfromtheservoopening.

    Step7.Tiethestringontotheservoextension.Gentlypulltheextensionthroughthewingusingthestring.Untiethestringwhentheservoleadhasbeenpulledthrough.Usetapetosecuretheservoleadtothewingtopreventitfromfallingbackintothewingpanel.

    Step8.Securethehatchtothewing.

    Step9.Connecttheclevistothecontrolhorn.Centerthecontrolsurfaceanduseapentomarkthepushrodwhereitcrossestheholeoftheservohornasshown.

    Step10.Bendthepushrod90degreeatthemark,trimtheexcesswiredependingonthelengthofthewireneeded,anduseapushrodconnectortosecurethepushrodwiretotheservohorn.

    Step11.Repeatsteps1through10toinstalltheremainingservo.

    Section3:ElevatorInstallationStep1.Slidethehorizontalstabilizerintotheslotinthefuselage,andcenterthestabilizerinthefuselage.

    Step2.Tracetheoutlineofthefuselageonthehorizontalstabilizerusingafelttippedpen.

    Step3.Removethecoveringfromthehorizontalstabilizerinsidethelinedrawninthepreviousstep.

    Step4.Positionthestabilizerandelevatoronaflatsurfaceasshown,andmakesuretheyareinalignmentwitheachother.Thencenterthejoinerwireontheelevatorandmarktheelevator.

    Step5.Carveslotsanddrillholesforthejoinerwireonthelocationsmarkedontheleadingedgeoftheelevators.

    Step6.Slidethejoinerwireintotheslotinthefuselageasshown.

    Step7.InsertfourhingesintotheslotsintheelevatorsandsaturateeachofthehingeswiththinCA.Makesuretoglueboththetopandbottom.

    Step8.Usethehingesandjoinerwiretoplacetheelevatorsinposition,andflextheelevators45degreesafewtimesupanddown,makesuretheelevatorcanmovefreely.ThenapplythinCAonthehinges.

    Step9.CarefullycheckthealignmentofthestabilizertothewingtomakesureA=Basshown.

    Step10.ApplythethinCAonboththetopandbottomofthestabilizertosecurethestabilizerontothefuselage.

    Section5:RudderandtailwheelInstallationStep1.Slidethefinbackintothefuselage.Checkthealignmentofthefintothestabilizerusingasquare.Thefinmustbe90degreestothestabilizerwhenproperlyaligned.Ifnot,carefullysandthebottomofthefintoprovidetheclearancetoalignthefin.

    Step2.Insertthefinintotheslotinthefuselageandapplysomeglue.Makesurethefinisfullysecured.Youmightalsouse30minuteepoxytosecurethefin.Applytheepoxytoboththeexposedwoodonthefinandtheslotinthefuselage.Usecarenottogetepoxyontheelevatorjoinerwire.Insertthefinandusetapetoholdthefininpositionuntiltheepoxyfullycures.
