TRB 281 - Transmission Pipelines and Land Use A Risk-Informed Approach
• Promote a risk-based decision framework
• Involve public and private stakeholders
• Develop practical guidance for use/enhancement, specification, acquisition, development, and maintenance of pipeline rights-of-way
• Create model local zoning ordinances, planning policies and state legislation that could be adopted for land uses near pipelines (i.e. setbacks)
