Data Management Tasks
• ConnectR Error Worklist
• Merge Worklist
• Exceptions Handler
• Exam Linking
• Duplicate Study Instance Unique Identifiers
CONFIDENTIAL 14TRN-0035-03 Rev 04/12/06
ConnectR Error Worklist
• The ConnectR data engine provides an Error Worklist to manage the removal or refiling of message processing errors
• The purpose of the Error Worklist is to allow the iSite Administration Team to monitor and resolve processing errors that may impact workflow and patient care
CONFIDENTIAL 15TRN-0035-03 Rev 04/12/06
Patient Merge List
• The Merge Worklist provides an automated list of patients who may have more than one patient record
• Patients identified on the Merge Worklist are potential candidates for merging such records into a single, comprehensive patient record within the iSite database
CONFIDENTIAL 16TRN-0035-03 Rev 04/12/06
Exceptions Handler
• The Exceptions Handler provides an automated Worklist of studies (images) which do not have a corresponding exam (order)
• The purpose of the Exceptions Handler is to match studies to orders, which provides advanced workflow functionality as well as a single, comprehensive patient record
• Digital Image Management provides the capability of disassociating studies (images) from exams (orders) for incorrectly identified studies
CONFIDENTIAL 17TRN-0035-03 Rev 04/12/06
Exam Linking
• Linking Exams provides the ability to associate multiple exams (orders) with a single study (image acquisition)
• Linking Exams is necessary in an environment wherein multiple orders and multiple dictation events are created for a single image acquisition sequence
• Linking Exams permits the association of a single image acquisition (ex. CT Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis) with multiple exams as demonstrated on the Patient Directory and Patient History Timeline
* Exam Linking is preferably performed prior to image acquisition by the performing
Radiologic technologist
CONFIDENTIAL 18TRN-0035-03 Rev 04/12/06
Duplicate Study Instance Unique Identifiers
• A Duplicate Study Instance Unique Identifier is an event wherein a single study (as identified by a single Study Instance Unique Identifier) has more than one set of associated patient demographics
• Upon detection of a Duplicate Study Instance Unique Identifier, an email notification is sent to the iSite Administration Team to provide immediate notice and allow for the rapid resolution of such events
• The Duplicate Study Instance Unique Identifiers Toolset provides several tools which may be utilized to resolve Duplicate Study Instance Unique Identifiers
CONFIDENTIAL 20TRN-0035-03 Rev 04/12/06
Configuration Management Tasks
• Dictionary Administration
• Security Administration
• Hanging Protocols Management
• Preferences Configuration Management
CONFIDENTIAL 21TRN-0035-03 Rev 04/12/06
Dictionary Administration
• Dictionaries permit the association of HL7 data (exam information) with iSite functionality (image workflow requirements)
• The Exam Code Dictionary entries enable iSite to associate specific exams
– Exam Code Description (as seen on the Patient Directory) – Modality Type (as seen on the Patient Directory and the Patient
History Timeline) – Body Parts (as seen on the Patient History Timeline) – Subspecialty (utilized for worklist Filters) – Hanging Protocol Groups (utilized for Hanging Protocols)
* Dictionary Administration is a primary iSite Administration responsibility and requires extensive planning and on-going maintenance for proper implementation
CONFIDENTIAL 22TRN-0035-03 Rev 04/12/06
Security Administration
• Security Administration is the management of role-based access control to manage user rights or privileges by associating users with a role which directly relates to their job function
• Philips iSite PACS offers more than 100 Security Codes (privileges or rights) to be assigned to various roles which relate directly to job functions of system users
• Typical roles may include Radiologists, Technologists, Referring Physicians and System Administrators
CONFIDENTIAL 23TRN-0035-03 Rev 04/12/06
Hanging Protocols Management
• Hanging Protocols offer a robust feature set to manage the display of studies (series and exam level settings) for iSite Radiology
• Hanging Protocols enable each iSite Radiology user to create a series of protocols that dictate the sequence in which each series is displayed
• Examples:– Dr. Smith desires to hang (display) T1 weighted Axials adjacent
to T2 weighted Axials, while he wishes to hang T1 Sagittals adjacent to T2 Sagittals for MR Brain studies
