Apply for a Federal Student Aid ID fsaid.ed.gov A FSA ID is comprised of a username and password and can be used to login to certain Federal Student Aid websites, such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)2. Complete the FAFSA www.fafsa.ed.gov Applicants must have filed their current taxes in order to complete the FAFSA application. Applications submitted electronically are processed in a much shorter time-period than those submitted by mail. Your PIN is required for electronic filing. Troy University’s school code is 001047. It is recommended that you utilize the IRS Data Retrieval tool in order to ensure your income information is appropriately entered into the FAFSA.3. Complete the Required Institutional Information www.forms.troy.edu/faid/index In some instances, more documentation may be required. You can track your financial aid status through Trojan Web Express. Look under “My Documents” for a complete list of required documentation.

How to Apply for Financial Aid
Any student who registers for classes will be responsible for tuition and fees regardless of class attendance. Refunds to financial aid students are not made until after the financial aid funds have been received by the University. Tuition refunds will be granted according to the following schedule:

Refunds
To receive any refunds from the University, a student must activate his or her refund preference with BankMobile. First, check the mail for your Refund Selection Kit, arriving in a bright green envelope. This will be sent to the address that you have on file with the University. Once it arrives, simply follow these steps to make your refund preference selection:

Electronic Deposit To Another Account (ACH Transfer) – Once funds are released by the University to BankMobile, it typically takes 1-2 business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to your account.
Electronic Deposit to a BankMobile Vibe Account – If you open a BankMobile Vibe account (upon identity verification), money is deposited the same business day BankMobile receives funds from the University.
Students may call BankMobile customer service line 877-327-9515 for assistance.

The student is responsible for all tuition and fees. Financial Aid must be guaranteed at the time of registration for the student to be classified as a Financial Aid recipient. Financial Aid recipients are responsible for the balance of tuition and fees not paid by their award. Delinquent accounts may be referred to a collection agency and may result in additional collection charges of up to 33% of the deliquency.
Notice: You may not enroll in subsequent courses or obtain transcripts until any delinquency is resolved. Term payments are always due the 4th Friday of each term. Late fees are incurred for non-payment.

Student Planning/Registration
1. Go to Trojan Web Express. a. Click on Students and then What’s my User ID? b. Enter your last name in the Last Name field and your Student ID number and click submit. c. Click “Log In” on the top of the screen. d. Enter your User ID. Your password is set to the first letter of your first name (capitalized), the first letter of your last name (lowercase), and your 8 digit birth date (mmddyyyy Ex. Ab01231900). e. You will need to change your password. The password requires at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, and 1 number. The new password must be between 7 and 25 characters long.
2. Click on Students and then Student Planning Registration.
3. Put your mouse over Student Planning, and click Course Catalog.
4. Search for course by subject. You must type out the department (i.e. Mathematics, not MTH). a. Science labs can be found at the end of the list of science courses.
5. Filter results by clicking the appropriate term on the left side of the screen. You must do this for each course you add to your plan.
6. Look for your course number (ex: MTH 1112), and then click on the View Available Sections drop down bar beneath the course to find your section (ex: TBAA).
7. Click Add Section to Schedule. Another window will appear, then click Add Section.
8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for each course on your registration form.
9. Once you’ve added all courses to your plan, put your mouse over Student Planning and click Plan & Schedule. Use the arrows to get to the appropriate term. If any courses appear with a RED outline, please contact your department or University Records.
10. Click Register Now in the upper right corner of the screen and click OK to accept the terms.
11. All courses should turn GREEN and you will have completed your registration.

Students dropping or withdrawing a course(s) after free schedule adjustment will not be penalized academically; however full tuition and fees will apply.

Meeting times for a standard 3 hour semester/term course will be:

The Proficiency Profile TestThe Profieciency Profile Test can be administered in two and a half hours. The information is ob-tained to measure the students’ academic skills in the general studies area. Associates take the test after completion of 48 hours and prior to graduation (exit exam), and bachelors 60-89 hours, during the junior year. Assessment results are used to fulfill a SACS requirement for accreditation and are important to ensure credibility of a diploma earned through Troy University.
Exam Dates: August 29, 2018, 10:00 a.m. September 19, 2018, 2:00 p.m.

ACCUPLACER (Math & English Placement Test)Undergraduate students who wish to enroll in Math or English courses must take the ACCUPLAC-ER test prior to registering. Major Field AchievementTest (MFAT): Business/Management, Criminal Justice, & PsychologyAny student seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a Business Program MUST take the MFAT the term they register for their capstone course (BUS 3310, BUS 4476, and CJ 4499). Stu-dents will NOT be allowed to graduate if they do not take the MFAT. TROY Online students must register to take this exam by going to http://trojan.troy.edu/online/testing/mfatmapp.html. Testing dates are determined by the instructor. *Photo ID is required.
CLEP Exams & DANTES ExamsExams are administered by appointment only. Please go to www.troy.edu/records for a complete list of exams Troy University accepts and offers. *Photo ID is required.

Include your name and student ID number. $70 (paid in advance) for Troy University Students $95 (paid in advance) for Non Troy University Students Exam Dates: August 2, 2018, 10:00 a.m. September 7, 2018, 2:00 p.m.

Comprehensive ExamsStudents admitted into a graduate program requiring a comprehensive exam must pass the required exam prior to graduating. Students should consult TROY Online regarding procedures for schedul-ing and taking the comprehensive exam. This test is generally taken the last semester/term prior to graduation. If a student fails the comprehensive exam, they must successfully retake the exam within one year of the date originally taken. *Photo ID is required.

Parking Decals are required to park on campus and may be purchased online at splash.troy.edu/parking. A $100 annual fee is assessed for parking decals, bring decal recipt to the Riverfront Campus Security Office, Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. or Friday, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. to receive decal.

A TROY University email will be assigned to new students 24-48 hours after registration. Students email is the same as their Trojan Web Express ID. The email’s initial password will be the students date of birth. For example: January 3, 1990, would be 01031990.

ID cards are mandatory for all students. In order to receive an ID card or to update an existing card, students must show their current registration form.
Student ID cards are lifetime cards and should not be destroyed. A replacement fee of $15 will be charged for student ID cards.
