    * 1. Dissertation Presentation - 3days (06-05-2013 to 08-05-2013).

    Tests/Internals/Examination

    1. The system followed is on the basisof absolute grading. However, theuniformity of the grading ismaintained as best as possible.

Below 39%, that is 0-39 is F grade,

40-44 is D grade; 45-49 is C grade.2. The evaluation of the students

    performance is expected to be

    continuous and multifaceted. As a

general rule, the end term examshould be between 40% - 60%

    weight age.

    3. Though a minimum level ofperformance in a level of performance

taken in all courses together is higher in

the case of PGDM programme. Acumulative grade point average, (at the

end of first year) of B- would beneeded for a student to be promoted to

the second year. This is further subject tothe conditions that:

    a. The student should not have morethan two Fs in the first attempt.

    b. The students should not have morethan four rating (i.e. after make-up

exam) in F and D together.

    c. To be more precise a student cancarry either two Fs and two Dsor one F & three Ds or four Ds

at the most. The students who get

Fs in the first attempt (not more

than two courses) are required to

    take the make-up examination. The

students who get D grade in any

course are given the option to

    improve their performance. To

emphasize clearly, though D isbelow the minimum level of

performance for pass in a course,

    from the perspective of calculating

overall CGPA, it has a value of 2 ona 10 point scale, and therefore is to

    be differentiated from a F with a

value of 0 on a 10 point scale.d. In general, if a student fails in the re-

examination and receives an F grade,

subject to deliberation and review in

the faculty meeting a re-re-examination will be given. However

a student ha to pay double theamount to appear for re-re-exam(Rs.2000 per course). In such

cases, the student has to give

declaration stating that he/she wouldimproves his/her grade, and in case

he/she receive one more time F grade

after downgrading as per rules, the

department has every right to ask thestudent to withdraw from

    programme. The downgrading of

grades will be done which he/shereceives during the aboveexamination as per rules.

    4. At the end of the second year astudent will qualify to receive theDiploma only if the student has a

    cumulative grade point average

(CGPA) of B-, for the first andsecond years put together. This is

    further subject to the conditions

    mentioned in 3 (a) and (b).

    5. At the end of each term, the studentswho had obtained a grade of D for anysubject could seek a make-up test. The

make-up test result will replace the gradeor marks of the original end term or

whichever is higher. The evaluation of

    other components will, however, remain

unchanged. A Permanent F in any
