He is daylight Himself, the sun of Gods new creaon, and we are all experiencing a new life, with new excitement. St. Paul tells us that in all we do and experience, we are made over into Jesusrisen Body. We have gone down into death with Him and now stand with Him filled with new life. In other words, we are yet another Easter symbol. We are signs that Jesus is alive in Easter. We are His living flesh and blood. The bread and the chalice we share transform us into Him whose flesh and blood they are. Yes, we are living signs of Jesus alive in this world. Jesus has appeared to us. In a Gospel story that takes the breaking light of morning as its metaphor, we hear how Mary Magdalene, Peter and the Beloved Disciple move from darkness to the full daylight of faith. It is this experience of the Resurrecon that Peter will give official tesmony in his role as witness. Todays first reading is the most complete of Peters sermons in the early chapters of Acts. His message is the Gospel in miniature. Wring to the Colossians, Paul presents the view that the Chrisan community has a very real stake in the Easter reality. In some ways, we are already risen and with Christ. If there had been no Resurrecon, there would probably be no Church today. In fact, there would likely be no followers of Christ at all, for on this historical fact of Resurrecon hangs the hope of believers. Paul and the other writers of the New Testament stressed the double aspect of the Chrisans life: union with Christ in His death – union with Christ in His Resurrecon. Easter gives us that hope. It is a pledge of our eternal life. We are certain that if our lives have been paerned faithfully to Christs teaching, we shall someday share His Easter victory in the glory of heaven. This is Jesuspromise and pledge. Holy Week is the deepest sharing of the mysteries of Jesus. Now we look forward to Pentecost, while sharing daily in His Resurrecon. Rejoice in the Lord always. God loves you. Happy Easter! OUR MISSION

Transfigura"on Catholic Church

is a Parish empowered by the Holy Spirit

to shine with the light of the Transfigured

Christ through worship, educa"on,

stewardship and outreach.

From Fr. Al Backmann, Parochial Administrator:

Alleluia! He is Risen! Jesus is not among the dead, Jesus is not enshrined

in history, He is alive and with us. He is daylight Himself, the sun of

God’s new crea"on, and we are all experiencing a new life, with new

excitement.

St. Paul tells us that in all we do and experience, we are made over into

Jesus’ risen Body. We have gone down into death with Him and now

stand with Him filled with new life. In other words, we are yet another

Easter symbol. We are signs that Jesus is alive in Easter. We are His

living flesh and blood. The bread and the chalice we share transform us

into Him whose flesh and blood they are. Yes, we are living signs of Jesus

alive in this world. Jesus has appeared to us. Jesus has come to us in all

of His glory. And today we experience the fullness of His life.

The realiza"on dawns that the Son has risen. In a Gospel story that takes

the breaking light of morning as its metaphor, we hear how Mary

Magdalene, Peter and the Beloved Disciple move from darkness to the

full daylight of faith. It is this experience of the Resurrec"on that Peter

will give official tes"mony in his role as witness. Today’s first reading is

the most complete of Peter’s sermons in the early chapters of Acts. His

message is the Gospel in miniature.

Wri"ng to the Colossians, Paul presents the view that the Chris"an

community has a very real stake in the Easter reality. In some ways, we

are already risen and with Christ. If there had been no Resurrec"on,

there would probably be no Church today. In fact, there would likely be

no followers of Christ at all, for on this historical fact of Resurrec"on

hangs the hope of believers. Paul and the other writers of the New

Testament stressed the double aspect of the Chris"an’s life: union with

Christ in His death – union with Christ in His Resurrec"on.

Easter gives us that hope. It is a pledge of our eternal life. We are

certain that if our lives have been pa&erned faithfully to Christ’s

teaching, we shall someday share His Easter victory in the glory of

heaven. This is Jesus’ promise and pledge. Holy Week is the deepest

sharing of the mysteries of Jesus. Now we look forward to Pentecost,

while sharing daily in His Resurrec"on. Rejoice in the Lord always.

God loves you. Happy Easter!

A Gi# for You!

Thanks to a very generous parishioner, we are giving away 750 copies of the book, Beau ful Hope.

About Beau ful Hope: We live in a culture that produces hopelessness with astounding consistency. When everything seems chao%c and we are faced with a mul%tude of nega%ve reali%es, we might be tempted to say that nothing makes sense anymore. But we are not alone—God walks with us and His presence fills us with hope. Because of this we are able to smile in the midst of our difficul%es. Hope does not disappoint!

What gives you hope? What are your hopes and dreams—for yourself, your children, your Church, your community, your na%on? What sustains that hope and turns those dreams into reality? What are some of the unique ways you bring hope to people in your life?

If we are to become people who can shine the light of faith into the darkness of our world, things must change. We need an infusion of hope so we can see more clearly and live boldly as children of God.

Did you miss out on ordering plants from our Annual Sale? Plant Cards (gi< cards to purchase live plants) are s%ll available for pre-order! Stop by the Gathering Space Desk to pick up a form, and return it to the Parish Office by Monday,

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY

“My name is Anna.

I a!ended the 9-week Financial Peace University

course that was held at Transfigura#on this winter.

My mother told me about a world-renowned

financial class taking place at the Church. She asked me several #mes to sign up for the class. I finally

agreed, mostly so that she would stop asking! I’m so glad I took FPU. I have become very passionate

about the steps Dave Ramsey teaches to become financially stable, and to plan for the future.

Knowing what I know now, I wish I had taken the class much sooner in my adult life. I would

encourage anyone college age and older to take this class to receive the knowledge and strength to

gain financial freedom. FPU has given me the power to be able to educate my son (16 months old)

as he grows up, and to leave behind a legacy for him that will change our family tree.”

Sign-ups are now available for our next two sessions of Financial Peace University. Classes begin a%er Easter.

Two class #mes will be offered:

Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. from April 4-May 30

Saturdays, 9:15-11:15 a.m. from April 7-June 2

Register via the link at www.transfigura#onmn.org, or by filling out a form in the Gathering Space or Parish Office. Please
