Preface

I believe the social network will become an essential part of people’s lives

and that they will be much more speci!c. Through the project, my goal is to

design a website and iPhone app that focuses on storing memories for fami-

lies who have a baby or will have a baby so they can share their happiness

with their family and friends.

My  users  &  Behaviors

My target audiences are parents. They have already had kids or expect to

have a kid soon. The parents create want to record the moments in their lif

for their kids and share with friends and relatives. The parents could invite

them to join the group and leave messages on the network.

Implement  for  workable  product

To think about my ability, I will use Dreamweaver to develop the website

and make a prototype for the iPhone app.

Persona-­‐1  _Say  “Hi”  to  Shirley  Witte

Shirley will give birth to a baby in July 2012 and works as an at elementary

school teacher. She loves to talk to her students and interact with her

classes. Her students could immerse themselves in her passion for teaching

and learn a lot from her. Shirley expects to take her enthusiasm for teaching

and bring it to her baby.

Scenario-­‐1  _Shirley  Witte

Shirley is excited to have a baby. She loves to share her pregnancy, but feels tired of

uploading her process of pregnancy on her social network. The reason she feels tired

is because she realizes the albums on the social network are hard to organize. She is

looking for a good site to organize her photos before she gives birth. She !nds me &

kids and likes its functions. She creates an account for her future baby and hosts the

site herself. Shirley could invite her friends and relatives via Facebook to import into

me & kids or she could login to her mailbox to invite her friends. She could take pic-

tures by iPhone app and upload her pregnancy photos on the site.

Persona-­‐2  _Michelle  Malkin  and  John  Malkin

Michelle and John are a couple with two children. Michelle is a copywriter at ABC

News.com and John works for ING insurance. They love their jobs and enjoy their

working hours. When they have day o", they also love to play with their kids. Some-

times, they cook at home and create new dishes to enjoy family time. They also love

to try di"erent restaurants and bring the kids with them. It’s always a great time to

expand the kids’ experiences and explore everything outside.

Scenario-­‐2  _  Michelle  Malkin  and  John  Malkin

Michelle is a mother who has two kids of home. One is 6 months and other is

2 years old. Michelle is a big fan of me & kids. They want to record the growth

of the kids especially big days such as baby showers, birthdays, !rst day of

school etc. They also love the feature of “milestone” on me & kids. Every time

their kids do something that they haven’t done before, they capture the

moment. To tag kids’ milestones, Michelle and John could manage important

photos with tagging functions and record memories to share with their

friends and family members.

Persona-­‐3  _Mary  Jones

MARY is 18 years old. She grew up in a warm family in Austin, TX. Her parents own a

company that focuses on world trade business. Mary is a student in Austin Senior

High School. She loves English and Art and considers taking one of them as her

future career.

Scenario-­‐3  _  Mary  Jones

Mary’s parents just celebrated her 18th birthday. This time really means some-

thing to Mary and her parents. In her birthday party, her parents gave her an

app that she could browse on the Internet. She got her mebaby’s ablums that

were 0- 7 years old memories divided by years.

She burst into tears when she got the gift. Mary could understand how her

parents and family members love her so much through the images and mes-

sages that they left before. Her birthday gift is awesome and unforgettable.

What’s  the  issue  ?

Family Education is the founda-tion of personality develop-ment. The project will go back to the basic of family love and edu-cate children “how to love some-one”.

I think the essential parts of the project are “Saving Memories” & “Sharing” happiness and will present the project on a website and an iPhone app.

I will take “memories package” & “milestone” as two important elements in my project. These two ideas might be the com-petitive ideas to make compari-son with other website or app.
