§ TrainingisavailableonlytoconventionalNYCHAresidentsmeetingthetrainingrequirements.
§ AdministeredbyREES,theNRTAhasofferedtraininginConstruction,Janitorial,PestControl,CableInstallation,MaintenanceandPainterApprenticetracks.
§ TheConstructiontrackprovides8-weeksofpre-apprenticeconstructiontraining,inadditiontokeycertifications,contextualmathematicsandindustryknowledge.
§ Since2015,theNRTAhasbeenapprovedbytheNYSDepartmentofLaborasadirectentryprovider.GraduatesfromtheNRTApre-apprenticeshipprogramhavetheoptionofdirectentryintopartneringunions(i.e.Local8,Local3,Local1,DC9andLocal12).

Ø FREE business accelerator program that works directlywith NYCHA entrepreneurs to launch or grow their foodbusiness
Ø FBP is designed and operated by a partnership with NYCHousing Authority (NYCHA), NYC Small Business Services(SBS), NYC Economic Development Corporation(EDC),Hot Bread Kitchen, Start Small Think Big, and CitiCommunity Development
Ø 10-week program and topics include:o Exploring Entrepreneurshipo Operationso Capacityo Licensing
Ø All graduates receive (1) free business incorporation, (2)food handler’s license, (3) access to commercial kitchenincubator space, and (4) business coaching
Ø In 2015 & 2016, FBP graduated 139 NYCHA residents,formed 113 businesses, and awarded incubator spaceto 23 businesses.

works directly with NYCHA public housing residents tostart a home-based childcare business
Ø CBP is a collaboration with NYC Housing Authority(NYCHA), NYC Small Business Services (SBS), BusinessOutreach Center Network (BOCNet), ChildcareDevelopment Support Corporation (CDSC), and CitiCommunity Development
Ø Participants receive:o 15 week intensive business trainingo Required health and safety certifications required by
NY Stateo 1-on-1 assistance to complete the required NY state
home-based childcare application bookleto Up to $500 for start up childcare supplieso Fingerprinting and background check
Ø Cohort 1 began in October 2016 and graduated 18NYCHA residents in April 2017.
Ø Cohort 2 began in January 2017 and graduated 16NYCHA residents in July 2017.
