Synthetic TrainingIn Australia, the mining industry is keen to take advantage of our simulation systems for safety critical training. We have people who know how to let trainees experience full 360° immersion, without risk, and develop survival techniques. Our people are delivering a synthetic training facility which can simulate a variety of scenarios that might occur underground. This, coupled with our unique approach to constructing focused training support, gives us an innovative approach to saving lives in dangerous places.

SimulationThe use of simulation technologies is enhancing training offerings for land, air and sea. Increasingly, training on new platforms relies on simulation as it is more cost effective than live-platform training. We have people who know how to deliver effective synthetic training environments – and our expertise in training and simulation has been recognised by the US Naval Air Warfare Center, which has selected QinetiQ as an approved training supplier.

Mission-based TrainingWhen soldiers are on operations, the more realistic their training has been, the better equipped they are to carry out their mission. We have people who know how to deliver team training which prepares troops for the reality of battle. We are independent, but our people understand the technology and know the equipment intimately. We immerse trainees with the right equipment, in the right environment, using a broad range of simulation solutions. According to one Commanding Officer, “Exercise Mountain Dragon is the jewel in the crown of the Regiment’s mission specific training”.
