Remission of Sin

Class One

John 15: 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and (then) it shall be done unto you.

James 5: 1515and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for

another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Revelation 12: 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their

lives to the death.

1 Peter 2:9  But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people;

John. 21Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be to you: as my Father has sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, Receive you the Holy Ghost:

23 Whose soever sins you remit, they are remitted to them; and whose soever sins you retain, they are retained.

• We can see from the verses that there are 5 elements to prayers that move mountains: ..righteous man, effective prayer, fervent prayer, the Word and the Blood

• The petitioner must Abide in Christ; • The Word of God must abide in the petitioner;

– Abiding in Christ with the Word abiding in us is necessary to fulfill the requirement of a righteous man

• The prayer must be effectual, • It must be fervent,

• In standing against the enemy we also need to employ:– The blood is employed– The Word

• The priesthood of the OT is spelled out for us so clearly so that we can better understand our responsibilities and duties as priests under Jesus Christ.

– primary duty of the priests reconciliation of people to God via blood sacrifices;

– We are also priests, and instead of using the blood of bulls and goats we use the blood of the lamb of God.

– The high priest was the only one that could apply the blood for the atonement of

many, the remaining priests applied the blood one on one.

• In the New Testament this act of blood payment for sin is called remission.

• When we remit sin, we are able to apply the blood of Christ for the payment of sin/the curse and thereby bring the kingdom of God into a situation.

• Remittance and forgiveness are two separate things

• Remittance is the payment of debt, forgiveness is the cancellation of debt.

• Financial Debts• All debts are paid, they are either paid by the creditor, the

debtor, or a third party• In the remittance of a debt, the creditor is paid either by the

debtor or by another party.

• In the forgiveness of a debt, the creditor absorbs the debt –...so in a sense, because he is technically paying himself for the debt, he is both remitting and forgiving the debt.

• An interesting thing about debt in America,, – there are laws that protect the debtor from incurring too much debt or

debt with unsavory terms of default attached. These laws are in place because a person with superior financial knowledge can easily trick someone into acquiring debt that can not be repaid with the intention of holding the borrower to onerous penalty phase of default.

• This was how indentured servants were acquired and held.• This is the main complaint against Pay-Day loans• Satan is not constrained by lender liability laws or bankruptcy

laws, or credit renegotiation

• Criminal Debts

• A crime generates two penalties that must be paid.

– Criminal court – debt to society.– Civil court – debt to the victim

Debts Can Be Accrued to Us Based on Someone Else’s Actions

• A car lease signed only by a husband, also obligates the wife.

• My kids ball through the neighbors accrues a debt to me.

• Even the removal of a felon father from a home for his punishment, also causes the family the loss of income from the person. The family bears a portion of his punishment

• We can accrue debt via our ties to other people. This is the principal behind the Exodus discussion that the sins of the father pass to the children to the fourth generation, and the principal of sin wages passing via soul ties.

Sin triggers multiple debts and obligations

• Rebellion against God and His law – penalty – separation from God; called death..hell– This is paid for at the cross, that is propitiation.

• Penalty in the spiritual realm, the wages due to the law... The wages of sin is death”– After you die, if you are a believer, you do not continue to pay the

penalty of the curse in this life. • But we are here, we continue to actively choose sin, so we incur the

payment due.

– There are also all the problems it brings us that we can identify. Speed, you get a ticket, do it allot you will have an accident...you might get hurt or hurt someone else. We aren’t examining the physical implications of sin, although we come back to it in the remission prayers.

– His blood is given to us for the remission of sins --- that is for the payment due against sins that we have incurred.

– His blood not only was shed for the remission of sin against the Father, it is given to us (in a bucket, if the visual helps you) for the payment of the curse that is extracted on account of sin.

23 Whose soever sins you remit, they are remitted to them; a

nd whose soever sins you retain, they are retained.

• So remittance of sin in John 20 is not the idea that WE somehow have been wronged, and are absorbing someone’s debt to us...no, it is the idea that we have the right to the blood of the lamb (of God) to apply for the payment due on sin that is required by the law.

• This John 20 verse is talking about an optional prayer – the prayer of remission for others to release them from the requirements of the law.

Seeing Remission, requires hearing the story all at once...

• Here we go....

Fall of Lucifer

• Lucifer was created in the highest order of angels

• He wanted more power and authority– One third of angels also demanded a restructure

A place was prepared for those that did not like God’s order--- a place without God...we call it Hell

Bride for the Son

• God Head designed a perfect bride for the Son.

• The bride was to be a multipart being, with each part having its own personality and function.

• The being was both separate and one, just like the Godhead.

• This being was designed exactly as would bring maximum joy to the Son.

The Bride is Lost

• The Bride was complete in Adam.

• Lucifer was livid that a being had been created not only above him, but above even what he had requested for himself.

• He tricked the Bride into questioning God’s authority, and thereby forced the bride to the same fate has him – separation from God.

Adam Could Not Die Childless

• Christ wanted this bride, no replacement would do.

• She had to be redeemed.

• But the law stated that anyone who did not desire to live by God’s laws had to live without them – death. So the redemption process was put in place.

Blood Covenant Established•

First Blood covenant is with Noah – slain animals, ratified covenant that God would not destroy the earth again with water

• Second Blood covenant is with Abraham – circumcision, established that these people belonged to God

• Third Blood covenant is with Jews under Moses at the Passover. That when God sees the blood He will Passover the people for judgment. (this is not widely recognized as a covenant, but I count it, because later the significance of the Passover agreement with the blood becomes obvious)

• Fourth Blood covenant is with the same Jews again, a few months later at Mt. Siania, which is the covenant where the people agree to abide by God’s laws, ratified with the sprinkled blood on the books.

The Penalty for the LawThen they received the Law, which was the Ten

Commandments, and then extension of those commandments and the Penalty for breaking commandments

Breaking the smaller commandments the penalty with the death of a perfect, male, one year old bull, ram or Billy goat.

Breaking a larger commandment (breaking the Sabbath, Cursing God, worshipping an idol, murder) could not be atoned for by an animal, and required the death of the person.

500 Years Later – Next Blood Covenant – Moses & Passover

• During the slavery the people stopped the practice of circumcision– they didn’t understand the significance of ratifying the blood covenant.

• Blood Covenant of Passover Established.– Exodus 12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt

this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. And the blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Reality of Payment• There were probably 3 million Jews in the

at Mt. Sinai. – How many animals does it take to support a

3M people? My guess is that 30 million animals is high.

• Half are male, maybe 30% of that half are juvenile? That gives us around 5 million animals, that might qualify as an acceptable sacrifice, for a group of 3 million people.

• ONE ANIMAL PER SIN!• No where near enough animals to

atone for the sins for one month.

Priesthood Established• Priests were given for the reconciliation of

Man to God when they sinned.

• The priests took the blood of the animals and applied the blood for payment of sins.

• There was never any hope of anyone keeping the law, or being able to pay the penalty....but the people had to learn this fact.

Hidden Sin & Day of Atonement• Because no one could keep the law, and no one

could pay the penalty for their sins...and because many of the death commandments were easily broken, the people lived under tremendous guilt – because they had to keep their sins hidden from one another.

• Once a year the High Priest could make a single sacrifice that would atone for all of the sins of the all of the people for the past year. If this atonement was accepted, the congregation remained under the protection of God. (But the individual dues remained outstanding)

2000 Years Later

• After 2000 years of living under the covenant of the law, and proving that no one could keep the Law, and no one could pay the price... Jesus shows up.

• Jesus tells the people that the Law actually includes thought sins, primarily because God is interested in obedience of the heart – motivational sins come into play

Jesus Paid The Blood Price• Jesus proposition to the people is, “You can not

keep the Law, and you can not pay the penalty, yet you desire a relationship with God.” I will pay the penalty for you, all you have to do is agree that you can neither keep the law nor pay the price.

• Since you have already agreed that you desire a relationship with the Father, and I and the Father are One,” what you need to do is say that you agree with the Laws of God, and agree to allow to accept my blood as the payment for your sins. – which is your separation from God. You have to agree that He is God, He has the right to be God, and as God He has the right set the rules.

• If you will choose to accept the blood payment for your sin debt, then you will stand before the Father with no debt – you are forgiven.

People Still Choose to Sin

• Even though we choose to accept the blood atonement of Christ, we also still sin...sometimes by choice, sometimes by accident. What to do? – The cross is like the payment of the lamb on

the day of Atonement. It paid for the access of the people to God...but the daily sacrifice continued...because the people continued to sin...

– HENCE, THE NEED FOR A NEW PRIESTHOOD

REMISSION

• Not only is a payment generated with the Father, there is also payment generated by the Law.

• You can look at your own life and see that you are not free from the law of the curse.

• But the Son has given us His blood, instead of the blood of animals to make payment for what is due to the law – this is called remission

How to Remit Sin• The people of God pray remittance prayers a

number of ways...I have heard it prayed simply by saying, “in the name of Jesus I break every curse that is laid upon the person”. I have heard people name the sins one by one and apply the blood of the lamb to them. (incredibly time consuming and in my opinion, impossible to cover it all)

• My method, which is by no means “the method” is to name every general sin type and means of passing debt of which I am aware, and to speak the payment of the blood. It has been very effective for me, so I haven’t deviated from it. I learned this prayer pattern from Henry Gruver, who introduced me to the idea of remission.

Sin Types and Spiritual Debt Obligations• Thoughts

• Words• Deeds• Gestures• Vows• Covenants• Generational Sins back to the fourth generation, and back to Adam.• Every debt acquired via soul ties, generationally, and those acquired

directly by the person for whom I am praying • Break every existing soul tie, those taken intentionally, and those taken

unintentionally• Break every vow that the person has taken• Break every covenant that the person has taken

• This is important, because there are debts that are incurred by the soul ties, and you also must break the ties. Same with vows and covenants.

Always Cover the Person with a Blessing

• Anytime that you remove curses from a person, you must seal them with a blessing. I like to pray that the Goodness and Kindness of the Lord that leads to repentance upon them. -- the main thing here is to release a blessing in place of the curse.

Pray for the Removal of Every Plant that has sprung up with a

root of bitterness• The behavior and thought patterns of the past bind

us up. I pray for the removal of this forest of iniquity...I curse every plant with a root of bitterness, command that they wither and die. I ask the Lord to chop down that forest...and to blow it to the pit. I command the roots to absorb the speaking blood into every tap root and tendril, that a new a better word flows into their soul, and that the ground of their souls becomes fertile and soft. I pray for every seed of like to take root and be tenderly nurture, and that The Lord send harvesters in their vineyard.

Physical Healing• If there is some very specific issue, like physical healing, at this point I

address it with the Lord directly.

• Occassionally, I have to address Hell and tell it that it has lost it authority to remain and must remove itself. This far easier, far more effective and less tramatic for everyone than “casting out demons”. The person does not have to be present and you do not need a proxy person to pray for. You are a priest and can remit for anyone, anywhere, anytime you choose.

• But to be able to remit, you do need to observe the main requirements for mountain moving prayers: fervent, effectual, blood, scripture and Abiding in Him.

• It is easier to pray for someone who isn’t there because you can concentrate on the prayer and don’t need to minister to the person as well.

• Prayer is much more effective when you are interceding along with a prayer partner.

• I have outstanding requests for healing...We live in this temporal earth,

and we are not going to live without suffering, disease and sorrow. Our Lord was a man of many sorrows and acquainted with grief, remittance just removes those things that are unnecessary sufferings.

Remission gets the Attention of Hell

• Pray first For Yourself Then for Others

• Cover your family and all that is yours or theirs with the protection of the blood Jesus Christ

• LET’S PRAY NOW

PRAYER OF REMISSION• By the authority of Jesus Christ and using the payment of the blood of Christ

I apply the blood to every thought, word, deed, gesture, vow or covenant that has been counted as sin and brought about a curse that is laid to my account.

• I apply the same blood for the remission of the curse for myself to every generational sin that has passed to me from my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and great-great grandparents including sins as far back Adam.

• I take this same blood and apply it for the remission of every generational sin that has passed to me on account of soul ties that were acquired by my generations past, both those soul ties that came intentionally and unintentionally.

• Further, I remit the blood of Jesus Christ for the payment of every curse that is upon me on account of soul ties that I have acquired intentionally or unintentionally. I also apply the blood of Jesus Christ for the remission of and breaking and cancellation of every vow, covenant and soul tie upon me whether taken by me intentionally or unintentionally.

• Should any curse remain upon me for any reason, I remit that curse and every remaining outstanding handwriting of requirement that stands against me according and from the first to the last letter of the law of God.

• I curse every plant in my soul that has a root of bitterness. I curse it and command it to wither and die, with no remaining remnant that might re-root. I lay to the root the sword of the spirit for the tearing down of strongholds and request that the Holy Spirit will break apart this forest of iniquity and blow it, in its entirety, into the abyss. I command those roots in my soul to absorb the blood of Jesus, that it might speak a new and better word of truth to me. I request that every seed of the word take root and grow that I might serve The Lord fully and live a life worship.

• I release upon myself the goodness and the kindness of the Lord which leads to repentance, and I seal myself in the blood of the Lamb, who is my God, my Savior, my King, my Lord and my head.
