It’s Baby Bundle Time! Please bring your newborn baby items to the March or April meeting, where they will be collected by Sandy Best for distribution to our enlisted soldiers’ families at Womack Army Hospital at Ft. Bragg. Sometimes, our enlisted families find themselves alone, far from family and friends, during the first days and weeks surrounding the births of their precious babies. Many don’t have the basics needed to take their newborns home from the hospital, and are hesitant to reach out for help, fearing it will reflect poorly on their service member. Our club members, along with most other Republican Women’s clubs in NC, donate to this worthwhile effort. Since 2015 this organization has provided over 7,000 layette items to junior enlisted families. Disposable diapers (newborn and size 1), wipes, newborn onesies, formula, receiving blankets, caps, bibs, socks, and car seats, are greatly appreciated in addition to Wal-Mart, Target, or Visa gift cards. The LCFRWC has been very generous with its Baby Bundles Gifts! Let’s keep it up!  For more information please contact Sandy Best.

As Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of Wendell August Forge, a multimillion-dollar manufacturing company, Knecht has stewarded this almost 100-year old company through great tribulation (2008 economic meltdown) and disastrous circumstances (catastrophic fire in 2010). He is blessed to serve on the board of three local small businesses: FlowROI founded by Sam Ibrahim; Half United led by Carmin Black; and Missio Hair stewarded by the husband and wife team of Lorin and Kyle VanZandt.

Knecht is also an accomplished professional public speaker and communicator, delivering keynotes across the country to associations and companies, encouraging leaders everywhere to live lives worthy of their potential and to see struggles and setbacks as gateways to breakthrough success.

William MooreI am a retired Lieutenant Colonel who served in the United States Army. During my tenure in the US Army, I had the privilege of commanding both a Transportation Battalion and a Field Service Company. In addition I served on multiple levels as a staff officer. In the civilian world I am a retired High School Principal in both North Carolina and in New York.

I have been actively involved in politics for years.  In Edenton, North Carolina I founded the Edenton Tea Party. In Wilmington, I founded a political watchdog group called the Coastal Carolina Accountability Project (CCAP).  I currently serve as the 1st VP of CCAP and have made multiple trips to Raleigh to visit our Representatives, and work with both the John Locke Foundation and NCGOP. Working with CCAP, I believe I have established a working relationship with local, state and federal representatives. I was the office manager of the NHCGOP Victory Center in 2016 and 2018.

However, I consider my greatest achievements to be marrying my wife, my two children and 6 grandchildren.
