Introduction
The Project Management Development Planner has been designed to help you, HR Talent Managers and
your manager identify development activities that will assist you in building your project managementcompetencies.
For each competency, we have provided suggestions for on-the-job and self-directed activities fordeveloping competencies. You will develop new behaviors through:
Learning on your own Learning from (planned) develop-in-place assignments Learning from others Training workshops/E-Learningcourses Readings, videos, and audiosThe competency development activities can be applied to a wide range of jobs. For a given competency,the activities are organized according to the levels in the competency proficiency scale, starting with
Fundamental level activities, followed by Operational level activities, and finally higher levels, such as
Mastery and Expert.
This guide will help you generate ideas and provide direction as you create and implement an individual
development plan (IDP) for the competencies you have chosen as your focus.
Project Managers are one of the outstanding drivers of thebusiness and a winning and differentiating factor. We must be
able to prove to our clients that we have the right people. Its vitalto our competitive position in todays and tomorrows markets.
The project management competency framework identifiesoperational and personal competences, and supports the growth ofTechnips Project Management population.
