MEETING ROOMS AND PICNIC SHELTERS On a first-come, first-served sign up basis, meeting rooms and shelters are
available for rental at all four City of Commerce parks. Shelters are open to thepublic, with residents receiving priority. Residents are welcome to visit ourCommerce Active Net web site for facility availability athttp://commerce.recware.com
Commerce residents with current resident activity cards may reserve a roomor shelters for family social activities such as birthdays, weddings,anniversaries, showers, etc. Commerce residents may not use the rooms orshelters for company picnics, school, or church events. Companies locatedwithin the City of Commerce may use the meeting room facilities for businesspurposes only.
A $50.00 Deposit is required at the time a Facility Request is submitted andwill be refunded if there are no violations of facility use, rules and regulations.
Please allow for a one-week processing period for approval. All Facility Re-quest are subject to approval.A current resident activity card must be shown at the time the Facility Request
is submitted. All programs, activities and fees are subject to change.
TABLES AND CHAIRS Residents with a current resident activity cards may reserve a maximum of 25
chairs and 3 tables for weekend use (Thursday- Monday) on a first-come,first-served sign up basis. Due to limited supplies, make your reservations earlyat the Department of Parks and Recreation. This service is provided at nocharge.

Hours To Obtain AResident Activity Card Residents may obtain a Resident ActivityCard at the Aquatorium during thefollowing hours: Monday thru Friday from6:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday
and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.Residents must bring their expiredResident Activity card. When applyingfor new cards, residents will need tobring a California Driver License or PhotoI.D. and documents provingresidency in the City. New cards issuedwill cost $5.00. Lost cards are subject toa $10.00 charge. Renewal with your oldcard is $5.00. PLEASE NOTE: Munici-pal Ordinance 9.04.105, – prohibits theuse of a Resident Activity Card by indi-viduals not authorized by
residency to do so. Unauthorized usewill result in the individual being chargedwith an infraction punishable by law.
Adults: Any person 18 years and older isconsidered an adult and must bring thefollowing:California Driver License/Calif. ID andcurrent utility bill in their own name with aCommerce address. Everyone musthave a California Drivers License orCalifornia ID with their Commerce
address on it. (A US passport may beused to verify the identity.)
Family Members Ages 18 - 27 years old living with parents must bring the following: California Driver License/California IDand one of the following: current bankstatement, current credit card statement,school registration in your own name witha Commerce address, or a current paycheck stub with a Commerce address onit. You must come in with your parent
and/or bring in parentsʼcurrent utility bill and parent̓ s CaliforniaDriver License or California ID.
Senior Citizens California Driver License or a CaliforniaI.D., and a current utility bil l. Apermanent Resident Activity Card will beissued to seniors 70 years and older.
Non-Resident Grandchildren of Commerce Residents Grandparents applying for this cardmust have a current card and bring inreasonable proof of parentage to obtainthis card. Grandchildren must be 18
years of age or younger to obtain acard. Residency expires on their 19thbirthday. The original birth certificatemust be shown for proof of age.
Industrial Activity Card Industrial residents may purchase aR.A.C. for an annual fee of $120.00.The fee can be pro-rated depending onthe month joined. The Industrial Cardholder is entitled to use the physicalfitness facilities at Veterans MemorialPark and the Aquatorium. They are
also able to participate in all adultclasses. Annual fee is subject tochange.
Registration Fees Payable at the time of registration, weaccept cash and personal checks. TheCity of Commerce check cashing policyrequires that all checks be madepayable to the City of Commerce, and acurrent California Driver License orIdentification Card must be presented.There will be a charge for all returned
checks. Registration fees are subject tochange after the publication of thisbrochure.
Cancellations To receive a full refund, all prepaidticketed excursions require a 72 hournotice of cancellation. No refund canbe given for “no shows” orcancellations received within 72 hoursof any excursion. If ticketed excursionsare not fil led within 72 hours of theevent date, registration will be opened
to non-residents.
Family Excursions Anyone 17 years and younger must beaccompanied by a parent or guardianon all family trips.
The “Random Wrist-Band” procedurefor Camp and Preschool will beconducted as follows:
At a designated time, (depending on
the program) individuals in line will begiven a numbered wristband. Thewristband will be placed on theindividual̓ s wrist by staff. At thedesignated time, the first number willbe drawn and random numbers willbe called until everyone is registeredor sessions are full. If you arrive afterthe designated deadline you will beput on a waiting list.

Registration Requirements: All registration for special events andexcursions that take place at the De-partment of Parks and Recreation, localparks or Senior Center are on a firstcome, first served basis. Current Resi-dent Activity Card, Parent PermissionSlips (17 years & under) and fees mustbe paid at time ofregistration. All classes must have tenregistered participants or they will notbe held. All classes must maintain a
minimum of seven participantsthroughout the ten week program or theclass will be discontinued. In theinterest of both children andparticipants, children are not permittedin adult classes.
