Stringent product testing andinnovative design has allowed ourproducts to evolve as market andconsumer needs change. In thewinter of 1989-90 we started toconceptualize and design our RhinoCommercial Aluminum windowseries. Today we have severalcommercial window styles in theRhino line. This window seriesconsists of a commercial horizontalslider, casement, hopper, awning,fixed and hung windows. EachRhino window reflects the designand manufacturing expertise we’veimplemented over the years. Wealso publish our AAMA test resultsto back up our claims of productperformance and quality.

2 3/8" thermally broken frame depth: Gerkinoffers thermal breaks in the frame and sash forimproved thermal efficiency.

Polyethylene foam seal pads at all sash andframe corners: Gerkin ensures a tight fit at allcorners by using these seals to seal out light, airand water.

Integral nail fin: Nail fins are a standard featurefor this window. The corners are closed whichallows for full perimeter flashing. As an option,Gerkin will remove the nail fin for masonry andsubframe installations.

Jamb and Mullion Interlocks: The use of twointerlocks helps to reduce deflection and createsa snug fit due to reduced movement away fromthe weather seals. The structure of the window isenhanced and air infiltration is reduced.

Dual Weather-stripping: This window featuresheavy wool pile weather stripping with a Mylar finon both sides of the sash. This means thatwhether there are negative or positive pressureson the window, there will never be adisconnection of weather-strip, thus givingGerkin one of the tightest sliders on the market.

Adjustable zinc chromate carbon steel ballbearing rollers: These rollers are designed to lastfor years with trouble free easy operation. Oursliders are among one of the easiest windows tooperate with a maximum operating force of 15pounds on the largest window we make. Therollers also offer a secondary height adjustmentto help with sightline adjustments afterinstallation.

Two-position deadbolt lock: This level 10 forcedentry rated deadbolt offers a secondary lockposition which allows for security while offeringtwo inches of ventilation.

Anti- lift stop: Gerkin installs a security featurethat won't allow the sash to be lifted out of thelock while the deadbolt is in either of the twolocked positions.

All sash are marine glazed for easy replacementand stress free operation.

Weeps with baffles: Gerkin includes an open cell foam inside each weep hole, which restrictssnow, dirt, insects and other debris from enteringthe window through the weeps.

Standard options: Gerkin offers completesubframe and panning systems, snap trims, sillflashing, stacking frames, stacking "H" channel,structural mulls, mull covers and factory appliedextension jambs.

5/8" double strength glass: Gerkin insulates it'sown glass and offers a ten year seal warranty aswell as a one year stress crack warranty. With theuse of the Swiggle warm edges spacer systemGerkin insures a long seal life and thermal efficientglass. Standard glass options are Comfort E2 LowE, bronze tint, obscure and tempered. Internalglass grills are also a standard option. Customglass options are available.

Extruded aluminum screen frames: The strengthof extruded screens is a major maintenance costadvantage for Gerkin over easily damaged rollform screens.

Other options: Gerkin offers insulated panels aswell as a louver system with a non-insulatedblank-off panel for PTAC units. This unit can beincorporated into our Rhino window system andused in conjunction with any Rhino window.

Self-latching deadbolt lock: This level 10 forcedentry rated deadbolt offers automatic lockingwhen the window is closed. This is a greatsecurity feature for motels and apartments.
