BOARD (NEO-NB) MEETING, 9th SERIES OF CONTINUING LOCAL LEGISLATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM (CLLEP) AND TURN-OVER CEREMONY
======================================================================================== Cagayan de Oro City, which is popularly known as the “City of Golden Friendship” and recognized as the “Gateway to Northern Mindanao”, was awarded in 2014 and again in 2015 as among the top 10 Most Competitive Cities of the Country. The City Government of Cagayan De Oro is a recipient of the E-Readiness Award and was adjudged as the leading city in the entire country in terms of automation of business process and licensing system (BPLS) according to the Department of Science and Technology. The CDO also won the 2014 Livable Cities Design Challenge and Sustainable Development Planning.
The Philippine Councilors League is pleased to invite you to its 2nd Quarterly National Executive Officers- National Board Meeting and 9th Series of Continuing Local Legislative Education Program (CLLEP),with the theme: “Sustaining the Practice of Good Governance Beyond A Political Term”, to be conducted on June 13-15, 2016 at the Atrium, Limketkai Mall, Cagayan De Oro City
Included in this 3-day activity is the recognition of former councilors who were elected to higher government office during the May 2013 National and Local Elections. Only Awardees who will register in this event can receive a Certificate of Recognition and a Commemorative Timex Watch from the PCL National Office.
A Registration Fee of Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Pesos (Php 9,800.00) shall be collected per participant to defray the costs of the seminar. In the event that contracted hotel rooms are no longer available, a registration fee of Six Thousand Eight Hundred Pesos (Php 6,800.00) shall be collected per participant and the term “without accommodations” shall be stipulated in the Official Receipt. Php 6,800 Registration Fee shall NOT be accepted if rooms contracted by PCL are still available. Rebates are NOT allowed and only the ACTUAL amount paid shall be reflected on the Official Receipt.
List of actual participants with corresponding Official Receipt Number can be viewed one month after the said event as well as copy of this invitation with its corresponding attachments can be downloaded and printed at www.philippinecouncilorsleague.org.
Memorandum Circular No. 2014-101 issued by the DILG and tentative event’s Schedule of Activities are attached herewith in support to your travel and registration expenses which may be charged to your local funds, subject to the availability thereof and to the usual accounting and auditing requirements and to all pertinent laws, rules and regulations. Please be reminded that your early arrival (before June 13) shall be charged to your personal account. Hotel check-in time starts at 2:00 p.m. on June 13, 2016.

Puerto Princesa City was hailed the top island destination in the world in a poll by an award-winning US travel magazine. The Puerto Princesa Underground River won as among the new Seven Natural Wonders of the World and declared asa UNESCO World Heritage Site. The consistent preservation of natural resources and successful environmental protection programs of the province of Palawan and Puerto Princesa city made them models of good local governance and transformed them into world-class tourist destinations.
The Philippine Councilors League will honor and recognize the men and women of the league for their exemplary performance as public servants with the distinction of serving three (3) consecutive terms as councilors (2007-2016).
